Chapter 11

After that you spent the night in quarantine and decided it was best to go look for Ben tomorrow.

You were out front of the building and were about to get into a cab when a few men ran over to you. They were well built but obviously not body guards. You raised an eyebrow and said "we'll be leaving. Please inform Mr. Van Doom that we no longer have need of his facility."

"You have to stay here. Otherwise you may contaminate others."said the man on the right. Johnny gave the man a sharp glare. The man had obviously hurt his pride, calling him 'contaminated'.

"Well, we aren't staying here. Besides the radiation is already adsorbed. So  you can leave. NOW."

They looked at each other but they didn't leave. The man on the left spoke up: "I am afraid not. We'll have to bring you in. By force." The man took your left arm. Johnny stepped forwards obviously ready to fight but you shook your head.

You punched the man in the elbow and gave him a kick in the stomach. The other man stepped forwards and you simply pulled out a knife from your pocket and said "I would better stay away if you would rather have your skin on your body."

You said it in a perfectly calm manner as you turned around and stepped into the taxi. The two men went back inside, on helping the other who was crunched over, his hand on his stomach. The four of you sat in the back of the cab.

Reed and You on the side back to the driver and the Storms with the view on where you were going. They all seemed pretty surprised. As you placed the knife in your pocket you were bombared with questions by Johnny:

"What the hell was that? Where did you learn to fight like that? Is that a butter knife? Did you seriously scare a man off with a butter knife?"

"You would be surprised to know what you can do with a butter knife. Poke someone's eye out for example" (Get the reference?)

You ignored his former questions and waited. You got caught in a traffic just before a bridge. You hopped out as the others did the same. Johnny came out on your side and placed a hand on your shoulder and asked: "You okay? You seemed strange. "

"I'm fine. I do it a lot in my line of work."

You walked towards what was causing the traffic jam. Cops were stopping you from getting closer so you tried to think of any way to get past them.

"Got it. Sue turn invisible. I'll cross too and then we'll distract the guards. Johnny and Reed get past once we're done. You'll have seconds at best. So make the most of it. I think Ben is in there."

Susan seemed very unhappy about having to lose her clothes but did it anyway. Halfway, through getting undressed she turned visible and you quickly handed her your leather jacket to cover her up but not before Reed commented:

"Wow, you've been working out."

As soon as she finished the process of undressing she made her way through the crowd. You tried to teleport and it came surprisingly easily. You teleported about ten meters forwards, past the cops. While doing this,your stomach twisted. You looked around. No sign of Susan but then again there shouldn't be. She's invisible.

You walked towards the cops. When you were right behind him you cleared your throated and straighten up:

"Sir, your superior has some trouble on the other side of the bridge, he was wondering if you and two of your colleagues could help. I'm Cassandra El Mari by the way, I was called in a minute ago due to some traffic motion. Now chop chop, or I'll have to notify you for obstruction to governmental forces."

Of course, this had nothing to do with anything going on and if the guy had a brain he would have realised this a bit faster. You gave him a sweat smile and added:

"Come on. He's not going to wait forever. I'll tell the others to guard the fort." You said. He reluctantly agreed and waved to his friends to come towards you.

You realised Susan has already distracted another two clearing the left side of the bridge. You beckoned the group. Johnny gave Susan her clothes and he stopped in front of you, your jacket in his hand. You reached out to try to grab it but he quickly pulled it out of your reach.

"I think I'm going to keep this. I like your bra." He said. You suddenly realised what he meant, you wore the same clothes as yesterday including a transparent t-shirt. You understood how Susan felt on the bridge and you were probably blushing more. You quickly covered up and saw Johnny smirking.

"That's it." You said to yourself. " I can't believe you. Take it. Whatever."  You turned around and scanned the whole bridge for Ben. You walked forwards, looking for a man. Probably the source of the wreckage. You stopped again and took a second to see the wreckage. Susan had gotten dressed and was already walking towards the source of the disturbance. 

Johnny came behind you and placed your jacket over your shoulders. You were surprised but muttered a thank you. 

"I just doing caus' I don't want to carry it around all day." He said

"You are such an ass."

"I don't know. Last time I check I was made of Hydrogen, Oxygen and Titane making me a HOTi/hottie."

"Yeah, right." You said shaking your head. "Come on the others probably need us."

You zipped up your jacket and teleported to the center of the wreckage. And in the middle of it was something that could only be described in the following way: something that looked humanoid but was made out of orange rock.

"Ben?" You asked.

"(y/n)." He answered
