Your eyes fluttered open and you realised you were literally a feet away from the ledge of the bridge. Some of your hair had, in fact, taken a plunge over the edge of the bridge. You slowly lift yourself and lean on the railing to support your increasingly weak body. You dared not think what would have happened if you had just been a meter to your left.

The sun is still shinning bright and the wreckage has not been cleared. It's obvious that you haven't been out for very long. A loud sound of crashing rang in your ears. You, what many people as describe crazy, teleported towards where you thought the crash came from. Maybe it could be risky but people's lives were at stack. And your living style (creating bombs, disarming bombs, going into space without knowing your colleagues) could not be described as harmless.

You took a mini second to admire the work you had done on the  tires of the huge fire truck. If not for the work you had done; the fire-fighters would have gone straight through the wreckage and towards the civilians on the other side.

That's when you saw the other problem. The truck had slipped of the side of the bridge and more than half of the truck was dangling above the water. A fire-fighter was knocked of his feet but just managed to hold on. That's when things started getting worse.

The weight of the truck was dragging it towards the water. No need to say it didn't look promising.

A man made of rock pulled the truck back down. It took you a second to realise that it was Ben. He was managing to hold the truck down but if it was you holding the truck, it would have fallen already.

"Get him" Ben said.

You nodded and you tried to located the place of the fire-fighter. You teleported once again although you could barely hold your weight. Less than a split second later, you were just above the man but standing on the truck. You hocked your foot on the ladder and pushed yourself over the side. You extended your hand for him to catch but he was just to far down.

You pulled yourself back up to get a grip closer to the edge so that your hand could travel further along the fire truck's wall. You slip your right foot through the metal barrier and twist it sideways so that it won't easily detach itself. You slip of keeping a hand on the side of the truck. He extends his hand and you grab it .

You pull his hand and place it higher than were it was a few seconds ago.

"Hang on." You told him as you reached for his other hand. He swung it over but narrowly missed yours. His other hand slipped and he, in less time than you could realise what was happening he was falling.

You reached and tried to grab him but you only caught the cloth of his jacket. The weight of the man was weighing on your wrist. Your wrist was acking, you tried to grab hold of him with your other hand. But just then your wrist went limb and the man fell. You cried out in pin for a second but put your other hand in your mouth to stop the cry.

You could hear the drumming in your ears as you saw the man fall. A huge skin-colour strand extended from beyond where you were and grabbed the man and brought him up on the bridge. While you were still hanging upside down from the fire truck.

You looked at your limp wrist. It was moving but barely. All the blood in your body was rushing to your head and you were starting to get a blurry vision. You tried pulling yourself up but as soon as your (dominant side) hand touched the metal. You cried out in pain.

Your head was getting fuzzy. You tried to pull yourself up when you realised you might not have to. You concentrated and in a flash, you were beside Ben on the side of the bridge. You were barely a foot away from the edge but you couldn't help it. The exhaustion, the painful wrist and the fuzzy head washed over you in a second and you could feel yourself losing your balance.

Something or rather someone caught you. They grabbed your forearm and pulled you further away from the bridge.

You forced yourself to stay awake but you were managing very poorly to do so.

"Reed? What do I do? Reed!" You heard someone yell. Was it Johnny?

"Reed! You annoying, son of a b***h. Come here and tell me what to do!" Yep. Definitly Johnny.

You took a deep breath and opened your eyes. You muttered: "I'm fine. How did you survive the fire?"

He grinned and said: "Come on. Apparently, we're being arrested." He helped you stand up and you did feel slightly annoyed that Johnny didn't answer your question but you let it be.

You entered a tent filled with fire-fighter including the one who had broken your wrist. Reed gave you some water and a chair as the five of you crowded around the TV.

You recognized the little girl in her red coat and bonnet. She was clutching an older woman's hand. The little girl said in a small rather squeaky voice: "She's cool. She goes zap, zap, zap. She's nice and she helped me. I was scared."

The reporter tried to get a bit more information about the girl  before the mother quickly interrupted him and walked off. The reported came on screen and he said:

"So their it is. On Brooklyn bridge, while terror has broken out, five extraordinary people stood out. The crowd is beginning to call them the fantastic five." A blurry picture of Ben appeared to the side. "This is what seems to be a man of extraordinary strength." Sue came on screen "A woman who has the power of forcefield." You came on screen. "A woman who can teleport or 'zap' as Lily puts it."

So that was her name. Lily. Anyway a picture of Reed appeared then Johnny and the reporter proceeded to explain what we had done and what were our 'powers'. You learn that johnny had managed to evacuate everyone from the area and absorbed some of the flames and that Reed had helped Ben (more or less) with the truck and people on it.

A fireman who seemed to be the leader said: "Come on. Let's go meet the press."

Johnny seemed to be happy by the idea but you just turned snowy white as you watched the others storm out of the cabin.
