Chapter 2

  Aspen's pov)

I watched as the boy or shall I say Jeff chuckled and turned back around and walked away but before he turned the corner of the alleyway he tilted his head, "Oh....by the way the thing you call a knife in your pocket it's a butter knife...unless you're trying to slay butter I suggest going back home and get a real one!" He declared before walking off. I hissed in annoyance from the world and grabbed my knife from my back pocket and threw it to the ground. "It's a butter knife!" I mimic in a high squeaky voice how was I supposed to know what kind of knife it was I was in lockdown since 5 all I knew was simple stuff like brushing teeth,showering,getting dressed, eating cat food, and well getting tested on from scientists. I huffed and walked over to the dead corpse that he left behind and took the pocket knife from his hand and testing good ways to hold it before putting it into my back pocket. Honestly I wasn't scared of this Jeff guy or his friends that he is going to bring next time even after he killed this drunken person. I guess being away from the world made a difference from what I'm so suppose to be afraid of and what not to be. I just sighed and started to walk out of the alleyway and onto the streets. I watched as the sun slowly started to rise up over the trees indicating mooring was soon. I hummed and looked around seeing some kind of store where cars were parked and some tube was connected with there cars. Sadly to my cat instinct curiosity took over as I walked closer smelling the scent coming from the place which wasn't very nice. I looked up at the sell sign thing in bold print reading the words, "Gas" I bit my lip and tilted my head not understanding what I was even reading.

I just pushed off the thought for now and walked over to the store part of the place lifting up my hood before going inside but not caring to hid my tail at this point in my experience with people. I opened the door and walked inside finding different food items and soft drinks and underneath was some numbers and a dot for something. I just started walking around seeing anything that catch my attention and grabbed it once I was done I had a bag of lays chips (original),M&M's and a big thing of water.
I watched as a mid aged man walked up to the counter handing the Person behind the counter some green price of paper I just stuffed the things I had in my hoodie/jacket and walked to the door and walked out instantly hearing a loud beeping sound. As the door closed behind me I turned seeing the person behind the counter shouting something and pointing to my direction. At first I just stood there not knowing what to do till some guy wearing all green started running at me from the other side of the store from the back door I hissed and pulled my ears down from under my hood and started running down the streets hearing shouting from behind me from the man who I guess was coming after me. I quickly made my way towards the forest knowing it would be my safest place to hide from people for now. My speed was quick so loosening him wasn't a problem the only thing was the feeling of being watched.

(Jeff's pov)

I watched as that cat girl I met ran from gas station stealing some items it didn't take long till a cop ran after her making me chuckle a bit. I turned back into the woods and ran through the trees till I made it to a leg where it would cut off into directions from below. I crouched down and waited and started to think how long should I wait to kill her if she made it alive after this then there's an exception. I watched as she ran into the open area below and looked at all three directions but to my surprise instead of keep running she turned and looked up at me with a frown on her face. Before she can say anything angry yelling was close by and she quickly climbed up one of the trees near the ledge I was on and jumped off the tree and stood behind me. I looked away from her and looked down at the cop confused and just keep going straight which would take him to a river. I chuckled knowing he was gone and tinted back behind me seeing the cat girl already up in one of the trees eating a bag of potato chips but her expressions were hard to tell because she kept a straight face the whole time.

After about a minute she looked away from the bag then back at me, "why were you following me?" I lifted a brow well if I had one I would be, "how did she know?" I asked myself before answering knowing I had to lie my way though "I wasn't following you.....I was going to go find my next victim" I said shoving my hands into my pockets. She just shakes her head, "yeah in the morning.....I don't see that also....." She stopped and held up the bag of potato chips, "what are these made of?". I just stared at her and almost mentally slapped myself for not killing her before, "ok do you know what this is?" I stooped and pulled out my phone which Slender gave me. She just gave a confused expression then shaked her head, I sighed and put my phone back I had to go tell Slender she might have just lost her memories or something or I can just kill her now and get it over with? I thought to myself but then quickly took the last thought away. she's interesting, she not scared or physically trying to hurt me. I chucked and turned my back away from her and started to walk away it was time for her check up but it will be her last....
