Chapter 4

Aspen's pov

I followed the girl to the room across the hall from the one I was in before the first thing I saw was a boy dressed in all Green and pointed ears with his back faced away from me. He was holding some thing in his hand but was looking up at a screen not glancing down once as a person moved across the screen. I looked to the right seeing a girl with a blue jacket with white fluffy stuff and one of her eyes was some round thing with numbers and she had some stitches on her face. The girl look in my direction and chucked, "who's this?" The other girl who I followed sighed and pointed her thumb towards the door "Slender brought her name is......uhh" I just cut in and smiled, "Aspen" I said catching the attention of the boy in green making him pause what ever he was doing and turn his head towards where I was standing revealing black eyes with tiny red dots in the center. He grinned and got up from where he was standing and walked up to me till he was inches away from me. "I may say that's a lovely name and you look lovely yourself" he said reaching out to me I hissed and backed up before he could grab me and do whatever he was going to do. The girl in black chucked and pulled the boy away from me "sorry Ben she doesn't like you" she said letting him go he just huffed and crossed his arms, "no thanks or thank you?" I gave him a confused looks and flicked my tail, "how am I supposed to say thank you if I have no clue what he is saying in fact I don't know what most things your all are saying!" I said starting to feel my claws come out from annoyance knowing I hated being not able to understand things.

They all gave me a weird look then started talking after a couple of seconds, "Wait you don't understand us?" I sighed and pinched my nose, "some of it not all..." I said trying not to make eye contact. From the shadows I notice one of them nodded as I felt a hand land on my shoulder, "ok how about we start simple...... Like with names?" I looked up and bit my lip and nodded. From under her mask I could tell a light smile filled her features, "ok I'm Jane the killer but just call me Jane" she stopped and pointed to the boy "This is Ben Drowned also known as Ben" then lastly she pointed to the other girl "and this is clockwork". I smiled and nodded "it's nice to meet you" I said hoping that's the right way to use the words. "So Aspen where are you from?" I just shrugged "I don't know.....all I do know is being in a house in the middle of woods" Jane just nodded and threw her arm over my shoulder "don't worry we'll help you....won't we?" clockwork nodded but Ben just sighed and walked back over to the screen thing and sat down "She'll be dead by morning in this state" he declared chuckling. I just shrugged and sat down on the sofa ignoring his comment and played with my hoodie string keeping me entertained which was oversized for me so it was easy to hid my stuff from people not noticing.

Jane hummed and pulled me off the sofa once I actually got comfortable and looked at me up and down before placing a finger on her chin. "No offense but you need some new clothes yours are kind of dirty" I looked down and she wasn't wrong I had some bark stuck to my hoodie and dust/Dirt. I nodded "I guess so but I don't want to be a bother" clockwork chucked ruffled up my fur, "don't worry you're with us now" she grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room and down the hall further once again the end she opened the room and pulled me inside as Jane closed the door behind me. Clockwork let go of my hand and walked further into the room which was filled with clothes hoodies,tank tops,t-shirts everything girly. Jane walked past me and looked around "how about this?" Jane said holding up a black tank top with white swirls I quickly shaked my head and started to look around myself. "How about this one?" I turned seeing a black on black on black jacket almost like clockworks only black fur not white I smiled and nodded grabbing the jacket from clockwork giving her a quick thanks. Once I turned back around Jane solved a black tee,Black pants and some kind of shoe then pushed me into a small room. "Try them on we can always have Offenderman adjust them for you" Jane says as she shut the door, I hummed and placed everything on the chair that was provided "ok....." I whispered pulling off my hoodie forgetting I still had my water and M&M's still, they hit the floor scaring the life out of me. I quickly changed and put on the pair of shoes which felt odd when I standing almost going up to my knees I just shrugged it off as my tail brushed up against the back of my leg and grabbed the pack of M&M and open them finding different colors of what are so post to be candy?.....I don't know.... I grabbed a couple and put them into my mouth and chewed on them instantly tasting the flavor which was good. I opened the door and walked out forgetting Jane and clockwork were standing there as I looked up. "You look good" Clockwork said smiling I nodded and did a quick thanks before placing more M&M's in my mouth.

"Wait....Where did you get that candy from did you find it on the floor somewhere in the mansion?" Jane said with worry in her voice I tilted my head and frowned "no.....I got this from a store after I met Jeff.....your Jackie Jack friend tried poisoning me already all the candy that's blue he has is poisoned I'm not that stupid" . Jane nodded as clockwork turned and walked around the room over to a cart, "Wait!.....you met Jeff and he didn't kill you?" Jane whispered to me I just nodded. "But how? He kills anyone he sees?" I did a small laugh as Jane was confused in her thoughts "Jane stop thinking so hard....he actually saved me then threatened me after he killed some drunk dude" I said rolling my eyes as Jane nodded and poked me in the arm "watch out....he might have a thing for you?". I tilted my head and gave her a look of confusion "thing?" She just nodded and crossed her arms "I'll explain to you later". Seconds later Clockwork came back holding a small box thing "here take this its a pocket knife" she stopped and tried handing it to me but I refused and took a step back "I don't know how to use a knife and the one I did have was a butter knife.....and plus I have claws so I'm good" I said lifting one hand showing a sharp pair of claws. They nodded and started walking back to the door "ok then....we should go let you meet the rest of the family before they think you're a threat and try to kill you" I just nodded and followed them what's the worst that can happen
