Chapter 10
"I'm quite hungry; skipped breakfast today. What time are you guys joining us?" Jasmine inquired over the phone.
"I don't know, another 40 minutes may be," Aveline absentmindedly replied, eyes boring into the thick white curtains that concealed the inside of the fitting room.
"Has he not settled on one yet? What's taking him so long; he's not the bride is he," Jasmine chortled in sheer amusement.
"Bored as I am of waiting, can't really say I don't appreciate how he takes his fashion seriously."
"Uh huh," A tease was thrown at her.
"C'mon Jazz, you know I like men with a good dressing sense," She reasoned.
"Course. Totally not like you appreciate any and every single thing Zayn does..." Jasmine ridiculed. "Mind you Avy, that day's not far when the smell of his spellbinding fart will be mesmerising you with its amazingness,"
"Oh-my-gosh, how freaking gross!" She yelled in repulsion. Regret immediately overwhelmed her for having done so, as the annoyed looks of the classy customers in that aristocratic, white-themed tuxedo boutique made a timid smile creep out through her lips, instinctively.
But whatever Jasmine had to say in return, soon turned into a background noise as the sight of Mr. Zayn too-freaking-gorgeous Malik was finally revealed from behind the curtains. Now, Aveline was absolutely convinced that this guy was born to pull off anything and everything that he'd ever put on. A grey suit at a wedding would've been a definite 'no no' from her, but watching how this boy carried himself with so much elegance and sophistication in that attire that'd probably make any other guy look awfully dull on a wedding day, she sure felt the need to re-evaluate her fashion choices.
Just as a smile crept its way through her lips, on making eye contact with an eagerly smiling Zayn, his attention was suddenly fished off by a blonde cougar, unnecessarily intruding their smiling business. She watched as the sales lady spoke words of admiration to him, running a hand over his attire far too many times, with the pretence of fixing invisible creases on it. Her behaviour was undeniably flirtatious, and Aveline couldn't help but feel her cheeks heat up in jealousy, that she didn't want to admit to.
To add more intensity to her already heightening anger, Zayn went to the point of cracking a joke to the lady that sent her over the edge, giggling way more than necessary. A playful smack may also have been landed upon Zayn's chest, as the duo laughed away at their merry chit chat, poor Zayn being oblivious to the amount of displeasure that he was causing his dear Aveline to go through, all this while.
"I've asked Niall to join us too, by the way," Jasmine mentioned to her friend, having no idea of the fumes that were practically making their way off her flaring nostrils. She received an abrupt "Good, see you." in return, as the call was hung up on almost immediately.
