She Doesn't Remember

Chapter 4

Spencer's POV

I look up at the pin-up board behind me. The calendar said it was November 11th 2021. Today my evaluation will be completed, I'll see my family and friends for the first time since the doctor kicked Toby out. I don't know what I'll do when I'll see Toby again. Am I supposed to react happy or sad, should I shake his hand hallo or kiss him hello? I mean, we're married I've probably kissed him a lot but I don't remember. Just that dream. I didn't even know if that was real but it felt pretty real. Pretty real. I decided I'm supposed to react happy and kiss him hello. Now I just have to wait.

Toby's POV

Toby - No I think it's better if u guys go first, I mean she doesn't even know Ali's alive, and Mona being A, Lucas being sneaky, me being A, Charlotte Being A and that it ended with Charlotte going to a hospital and stuff, I think u should tell her first.

Emily - You're probably right.

Alison - But should I come along then? I mean I'm death to her.

Hanna - I'm death to her?

Aria - That sounds awful.

Alison - You know what I mean.

Toby - I think u should just go with them.

Alison - Than what I'm I supposed to say? Hi Spence, I'm Alive. I'm so sorry what happened to you????

Hanna - For Example.

Emily - Hanna 😞

Hanna - I was joking.

Aria - Guys can't we just say we'll explain?

"Daddy?!" Hayden screamed. I walked to her room. "Yes?" I said. "I can't find my princess suit case." she said with a complaining look on her face. "It's in the attic." She ran out without another word.

Mona - We'll just tell her, Ali can just come in with us at the same time don't you think?

Aria - I suppose.

Emily - We'll just go from there.

Toby - Good luck.

Spencer's POV

"If you just rest if you need it your brain can take it to be triggered so you can have visitors." Dr. O'Neill told me. "Thank you so much." I said. "Happy to be of service. " And he left. I was alone again. I grabbed the plastic bag again and re-took a look at the silver bracelets again. 01-18-18. What was that date for? Was it our marriage date? But if that was it than what did 30-03-20 mean? After a while I figured it out. We got engaged on 01-18-18 and we got married on 30-03-20. That's probably it. If it were dates. But dates were most likely. But then Goofball & Glyceraldehyde? That made absolutely no sense. I mean I do know what it means. A goofball is someone who makes jokes or a naive or stupid person and Glyceraldehyde is a triose monosaccharide with chemical formula C₃H₆O₃. It is the simplest of all common aldoses. It is a sweet, colorless, crystalline solid that is an intermediate compound in carbohydrate metabolism. But why these words in combination? It made no sense at all. At that moment Emily came in with a heart shaped balloon that said "I love you.". "Heeey." she said "Em, Hi!" She hugged me and I hugged her back. "I missed you." she whispered. "I missed you too, sort of. I lost 11 years of memory." I told her. "I know, Toby told me." she said releasing me out of her arms. "Tell me everything. Who's A? Did Ian killed Ali? Are A and Alison's killer the same person?" I summed up. " Whoa Spence, slow down, we'll tell you everything." "We?" I asked "Yes we. but first you need to know one thing." She said. I looked at her waiting for more. "Alison is alive." She said. I stared at her for a moment. "What. do you, mean?" I tried. "We'll explain." That second Aria , Hanna, Mona and Alison came in too. Nice timing, like it was rehearsed. It was Alison. In the flesh. I thought I was dreaming for a second until a realised I just woke up. "Hi Spencer." Ali said.

Toby's POV

"Wlook a Tweety." Joshua kicked his fat toddler legs and giggled while he pointed at a bird in the sky. "Yes, whoa a Tweety." I said. Joshua tried to wrestle himself out of his carseat. "I wanna grlab him. Can youw stlop dliving?" He said. "No Josh, Daddy is driving to auntie Jenna's." Hayden said wisely while she pushed his arm down. Josh's lower lip trembled. "I wlant the Tweety!" I sighed. "Daddy will get it later for you Joshi." I told him as we pulled up my sisters driveway. Jenna opened the front door as I released Hayden from her seat. "Auntie Jenna!" Hayden screamed. "Hayden! Hey!" Jenna picked her up and hugged her as I unstrapped Josh. "Hi there." I said to my sister while carrying Josh to her porch . "Hey Toby." she said. She kissed both of my cheeks before she stole Joshua from my arms. "Auntie Jenna?" Hayden asked. "Yeah?" Jenna replied. "Can we go to the candy store around the corner?" Hayden's eyes begged with her puppy look. "We'll see. Now go get your princess suitcase Miss." Jenna laughed as Hayden ran back to the car "Toby, if you need me you can call me, Okay?" Jenna said. "Okay, I'll see what happens. I'll probably pick them up tomorrow." I brought Hayden's suitcase and Joshua's bag inside and answered Hayden's long hug before I left to visit Spencer.

Spencer's POV

"So when Charlotte went to the nut hospital it ended?" I asked. "Yes." Ali told me. "What happened to her is she back home?". "No she's still there, she needs a long term treatment. Jason and I visit often. Dad doesn't want anything to do with her. He claims it's not his daughter." Ali explained. "So have you got any questions?" Aria asked. "Yeah, why did I join the A team again?" I asked. "Because I told you Toby was still alive and you'd get him back if you joined." Mona told me. "I really loved him didn't I?". "Yeah, you did." Emily said. "Don't you love him anymore now?" Hanna asked. "Well I do love him, but in some sort of strange way. Like I don't really know why." I tried to explain "Does that make any sense?". "No?" five voices said. "Well I love him, but I don't remember why." I added. "No of course you don't I mean you sort of cracked your head open." Hanna said sarcastically "Hanna!" Emily exclaimed. I laughed before I heard a small knock on the door. "We'll go." Em said. "Yeah we'll just go now." Aria added. They all kissed my forehead and said some goodbyes as Toby slowly walked in. "Bye ." Hanna said before closing the door. "Hey Spence." Toby said as he walked over to me and kissed me softly on the lips. "Hii." I smiled at him. He looked so handsome. He sat down and I grabbed his hand. He wore the same golden ring on his finger as the one in my plastic bag and that reminded me of something. "Toby, what does Goofball & Glyceraldehyde mean?" I said while I stroke my finger over his ring. He laughed "Well on our first sort of date we played scrabble and you made the word Glyceraldehyde for 96 points and I made goofball for 104 points, I beated you on that one Spence." I laughed. He told the story of what happened between us. He stopped once we reached my graduation. "Well continue, I wanna know." I said smiling because of his cute stories. "I had almost finished the house when you graduated, so you moved in to my caravan. We lived there for a couple months very cute and fuzzy, you got a job I got the house done and you decorated everything." He hesitated for a second. "Why a eight bedroom house Toby?" I asked. "You wanted a lot of children." He looked down at our hands. "Do we have any? Children I mean?" I asked in a small voice afraid of the answer. His thumb stopped stroking the back of my hand and a single tear escaped his eye corner and dropped on my hand. "Yes." He finally said. I gasped for air and covered my mouth with my free hand.
