Chapter three: "Crush."

Wendy's (POV)

That morning my alarm clock went off, the time read 7:30 since it was still early before my day out with Dipper I decided to sleep in alittle while longer.

2 hours later

When I awoke again. The clock read 8:50. 'Oh crap'. I quickly got up, and took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, got dressed and out the door. I got my red bike, and started to petel to the Mystery Shack. I would have gone the normal path, but since I was running late I decided to take a short cut. When I took the short cut, I realized it's not called short cut for nothing. I got to the Mystery Shack in as little as 5 minutes instead of 15 like normal. When I got through the door I saw Dipper watching TV with his sister.

"Hey there you are, I thought you weren't going to show up."

"Sorry, I lost track of time."

"It's okay Wendy, just bring him back by 3:00."

"Mabel!"

I just laughed as Dipper blushed. Wait blushed? Could he.....? No, he's too young. I just smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Ready to go dude?"

"Yeah, I'm ready."

When we got out the door of the shack, Dipper and I walked side by side into town. I was thinking of all the places I could take him to. I thought maybe I could take him to the arcade first.

Dipper's (POV)

Wendy and I were walking side by side, it felt great having her by my side. It was a feeling I didn't want to lose. When we got to our first stop it was an arcade. When we got inside it was filled with many different games, including my favorite game Fight Fighters. We started to play all the games in the arcade. The last game we played was the Fight Fighters game. And I totally kicked her butt.

"WOOH YEAH!"

"I totally beat you Wendy!"

"No way!"

"Yes way!"

"You totally cheated!"

"You wish!"

When we were done playing, we went to get lunch. She took me to the diner and we both got a grilled cheese sandwich. We were talking about different types of games and movies we liked to watch.

"I'm just saying, Harry potter the half blood Prince was a great movie!"

"Quite talking with your mouth full dipstick."

"Oh, I didn't know it was open. Is it still open?"

I asked her as I opened my mouth relieving a big mess of chewed up bread and cheese.

"Aww gross! How old are you?"

She asked as she punched my shoulder slightly. We both laughed before eating again. When we are done, we went to get ice cream. I got chocolate and she got vanilla. We sat on the park bench and talked awhile eating our ice cream. She then dip her ice cream on my nose, and I blushed. I tried licking it off, but my tongue isn't that long. She couldn't help but giggle as I tried to get the ice cream off.

Wendy's (POV)

Dipper looked like a fool when he tried to lick the ice cream off, but it was cute too. Did I just say cute? Dipper then gave me a devilish smile before putting his ice cream in my face. He laughed before I did the same to him. We both laughed at each other now that we were both covered in ice cream. When we got cleaned up, we went to the woods and a nice walk. I looked to the harrison, and saw the sun was setting. Before I could do anything, Dipper grabbed my hand and brought me to this small pond. It had Lily pads, ducks swimming around, and fireflies started to come out. One firefly landed on my nose, making me blush. Dipper giggled as I blushed, then I started laughing too.

Dipper's (POV)

By the time we were done messing around by the pond, the sun was almost gone. We sat on a hill side by side watching the sunset. I looked down to see that our hands were close together on the grass. I blushed and moved my hand closer to hers. But before I could put it on top of hers I decided it was a bad idea. I put my hand back on the grass and turned my attention back to the sunset.

I was watching the sky started to get dark, when I felt something on my hand. I looked to see her hand on mine. I blushed as I looked at her. She looked at me and smiled warmly. I smiled back trying to hide my blush. I don't know what I was doing, but I leaned in close to her. And she didn't pull back, she moved closer to me too. We were about to kiss when her phone went off. Dang it! She looked down to see her dad calling.

"Oh sorry, I got to go."

"It's okay, I understand."

"Thanks, I had fun today."

"Yeah, me too."

"Bye."

"Bye Wendy."

She then walked away to go home. I started thinking to my self. 'She almost kissed you! She must like you too!' My thoughts were cut short when my phone went off too. I saw Mabel was calling me, so I decided to go home to the Mystery Shack. As I walked home I still had one good thought in my head.

'She almost kissed you!'
