Chapter five: "Movie night."

Dippers's (POV)

When Wendy and I got to her house, I saw a big man and three boys watching TV on the couch. Her family I presume. Wendy took my hand and brought me to them. I hope they didn't see me blush. Her dad got up, and looked at me angerly making me freeze, but Wendy just smiled not showing any fear. Why would she be afraid? Her dad smiled back at her before turning back to me.

"And who might you be?!"

"I'm....uh..."

"Speak up boy!!"

"Dipper Pines, Wendy's friend!"

I blurred out. He took out his hand, thinking he was going to hit me, I hide behind Wendy. Yeah, really manly Dipper. He gently moved Wendy aside, and grabbed my hand and shook it. I gave a sigh of relief and Wendy smiled at us.

"Nice to meet you boy. I'm Manly Dan, Wendy's dad."

"And those three are Wendy's brothers."

He walked up to the boys and brought them closer to me. They all really looked like their dad. As I look at the family, I see someone is missing. Her mom.

"This is Jonathan."

He points to the first brother. He looks more like his dad then any of the other boys.

"This is Simon."

He points to the second brother. He looks like a much younger version of the dad.

"And this is Ross."

He pointed to the third brother. The youngest. He looked like his dad sure, but he kinda looked like a small football player.

"Nice to meet you all."

"Nice to meet you too kid."

"Yeah, welcome to our house."

"You Wendy's new boyfriend?"

"ROSS!"

I couldn't help but laugh when Wendy snapped at her youngest brother. She looked kinda cute all worked up. Wendy lead me to her room, and started a bad horror movie. We were sitting there, and I still had one question. Where was her mom?

"Hey Wendy?"

"Yeah?"

"Your family seems nice but, I didn't see your mom."

"Oh..."

At that moment I knew I said the wrong thing. I don't know why I asked that?! What a dumb question!! Dipper you're an idiot!

"I'm sorry, you don't have to answer that."

"No, it's okay. I understand why you would ask it."

"Really?"

"Yeah, you see my mom is no longer with us."

"Did she pass away?"

"No, but she left my dad, at a young age. Me and my brothers had to stay with dad because mom couldn't take care of us."

"I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault. Really, it's cool."

She smiled warmly at me, and I smiled back. We continued to watch the bad movie for awhile until it finally ended an hour later. Me and her, were then just sitting on her bed just talking. I learned a lot more about her awhile we were talking. I found out her favorite color, which was flannel. Her favorite food, which was spaghetti. Her hobbies, which was playing video games, watching movies, and going for nature walks. She was really calm the whole time, awhile I was shaking like a leaf. I thought now would be the time to tell her how I feel.

"Hey uhh, Wendy?"

"Hey what?"

"I have something to tell you."

Wendy's (POV)

"I have something to tell you."

I was in suspense the whole time was stalling to tell me. I waited for a minute before I spoke up.

"What do you have to tell me?"

"Well uhh, let's say I know this guy, who maybe loves you."

I blushed when he said that. Was he referring himself? Well, since he was technical confessing, might as well do that same.

"Oh yeah, well I know this girl that maybe loves you as well."

His eyes light up when I said that. Now we were both blushing like crazy. I felt like I should kiss him, now felt like a good time to. I leaned over to him, and he did the same.

Dipper's (POV)

She was about to kiss me! Why hold back? I leaned into her like she did. We were about to kiss when her brother walks in on us. Darn it! He started laughing at us, because he thought that we were doing something, we kinda were but, he didn't know that. Wendy got a little upset with her youngest brother. She got on and closed the door on his face, making me laugh a little.

"I guess another time then?"

"Yeah I guess so. Well you better get going, it's getting late."

"Yeah, bye Wendy. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Okay, bye."

"Bye."

I walked out of her room, and down to the living room. I walked out of her house, and started to walk home for the night.
