"Adam, I seriously don't want to do this." I groaned with annoyance. Adam grinned at me mischievously and raised his eyebrows, urging me to pick up the water gun he aimlessly threw at me.

I, myself, was happily snuggled in my bed sheets, perfectly content with the idea of spending my day in bed before tomorrow- my first day at work. I rolled my eyes and pulled my blanket up further to my chin, flopping over to the opposite side, my mattress creaked under my weight.

"Leave." I demanded. Without warning, a spray of cold water shot at my hair and pillow.

"Adam!" I screamed in disbelief, I scrambled out of my bed in shock as the cold water seeped through my sheets in a matter of seconds.

Adam was already trampling down the stairs when I swung around on the tips of my feet, angry. My grip tightened on the plastic water gun as I hurdled towards his direction.

"You are so dead!" I yelled in a low, husk tone before turning the corner to the front door, without slowing to a stop I immediately rammed into a tall figure, knocking nearly both of us off our balance when a hand clutched my shoulder, catching me. I looked up to see my dads gaze peering back at me with curiosity and amusement.

"Careful kiddo," He glanced at the water gun in my hand and how nothing but anger was written over my face. I let out a breath of annoyance while my dad broke into a laughter that resonated through the empty silent house.

"Thanks for making me the youngest." I grumbled before slipping on flip flops.

"It's what all siblings do, you'll appreciate it one day." He grinned before patting me on the shoulder and walking in the other direction.

I rolled my eyes in response while shutting the screen door behind me, observing my surroundings for any sign of Adam. I scrunch my eyebrows in distaste; the sun was much to bright for my liking. The scorching heat mixed with the type of humidity that was similar to a steam room hit me all at once, increasing my mood of disconsolate. I frowned and headed towards the driveway.

Before I had time to react, Adam jumped out from behind a car, cold water greeting my face. With my eyes shut, I grit my teeth from letting out a howl of irritation and staggered to move out of the way. Frantically pushing the trigger, water began squirting out of my water gun but before it could hit Adam, he was already sprinting across the front yard, laughing.

"Adam! You are SO childish!" I yelled after him. He looked back and stuck his tongue out in response.

With water dripping down my face and having my entire shirt soaked, it would of been enough to make my teeth chatter except it was more of a refresher against the blazing heat of the sun on my back.

I broke out into a run after him, directing the spray of my water at his back which slowed his pace. Grinning at my victory, water stopped coming out of the spout. Letting out a loud groan, I threw the now useless water gun to the ground and started to sprint on my heels.

I prepared myself for the impact as I collided with Adam, tackling him to the ground. Adam let out a displeased groan from my weight on top of him before he had his hands around mine, wrestling me off of him.

"Tough one aren't you?" He said jokingly before twisting my arm slightly which caused me to bite back a grunt.

"I'm not going to let you walk away easily when you soak my entire bed and practically drown me a second time." I replied as he tossed me off with ease and locked me beneath him with his knee lodged into my back.
