"Because it will be good for you Niall."

"How will seeing my parents be good for me?" He demanded.

"Change in scenery?" Niall rolled his eyes at me and turned back around to his desk to face his computer. I had been trying to convince him to go home for the weekend because I thought it might be good for him. Key still wouldn't talk to him and he had been mopping and skipping classes ever since they broke up. It wasn't good for him.

"I don't want to see my parents." He grumbled. I sighed. I knew his relationship with his parents wasn't a good one and that was also sort of the reason why I was trying to convince him to go home.. I just didn't want to tell him that.

"Niall, I really think you should go home." I said gently, sitting on his bed.

"You just need someone to take you home."

"True but Niall, I'm being serious right now.""

"When aren't you." He mumbled. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Niall, I think you need to talk to your parents about your relationship with them." Niall turned around in his seats slowly to look at me.

"What?"

"You need to talk to your parents about how you feel." He stared at me like I was stupid. "Hear me out okay?" He didn't say anything so I continued. "You have never had a good relationship with your parents and I can understand why. They didn't have enough time for you, with their jobs, and you're their kid yes but.. They never gave you the love or attention you needed and that's why you probably sold drugs, so they would notice you if you got caught."

"Emma stop.." But I couldn't.

"And maybe that's why you cheated on Kelsey. Impulse control, you never learned it. If you did something bad your parents would notice but if you did something good then.."

"Stop it Emma!" He shouted at me. Niall had never yelled at me before so I shut up, hitting my bottom lip. "I don't want to talk to my parents. They don't care about me."

"They do, they're your parents." Niall was shaking his head.

"No, you're right. They only noticed me when I did something they didn't like. Otherwise.." He shook his head. "They just didn't care and I don't need you to tell me that. I already know." I hung my head, looking at the ground. Niall sighed and took my hand. "I'm sorry I yelled at you but.. How is talking to my parents going to of anything? I see no benefit to it"

"Maybe if you just make them understand.." He shook his head.

"It's useless." Niall insisted. I sighed as he squeezed my hand. "We'll go home okay? But I'm not going to talk to my parents." I nodded my head slowly in understanding.

"Yeah, okay Niall." He leaned in and kissed my cheek.

"I'll see you tomorrow Em. I have some whose work I should be doing because as you said, I keep skipping classes." I smiled lightly, standing up as he went back to his desk and began typing away.

"See you tomorrow morning then Niall."

"See you then." He said with a small wave behind his back. I walked out slowly, shutting the door. I was walking down the stairs when I ran into him, Aaron. "Oh." I said, startled by his sudden appearance.
