And My Life Began Again

Almost five months had passed by since the funeral. My parents stopped living almost five months ago. It was the end of August now and school starts in 11 days on the seventh of September. I began a daily routine a week after my chat with my social worker Sabrina.

I usually wake up at around 9 o'clock, then I would take a shower and get dresses. Max, my 32 year old tutor would come to the house at 12 and we would end our sessions at 3. A good 50 percent of the time he was here, he spent flirting with Aunt Cherry. She decided it would be best if she started working the night shift at her job so she can tend to my needs, but I think it was so she can get closer to Max. They were the perfect pair both tall, both goofy as ever, and both caring and fun people. It was good to see my Aunt a little happy again.

Once summer began, me and Max's tutoring session ended, nut that didn't stop him from paying Aunt Cherry a daily visit. They even went on a date. I was happy for the commence of their budding romance. I, on the other hand, wasn't really thinking about love inquirers. I was more focused on slowly healing from the death of my parents.

I took my drivers test a month and a half ago and got a new car three weeks ago. It was a birthday present from my parents, but really it was just Aunt Cherry. She told me they had plans to get me a car soon anyway. My car was a 2015, red Honda Civic. I loved that thing like it was my own child. I didn't even let Aunt Cherry sit in it without putting a plastic cover over the leather seat of my baby. She wasn't very fond of that idea though because she said it made her legs stick to the plastic.

My summer went by pretty fast. Most of it consisted of me going to the coffee brewery to try and scope out that hazel eyed boy I had seen the day of my parents funeral. And that's exactly what I was doing today. I ordered my usual, a caramel cappuccino and an order of brownies. I paid for my food, and sat in my normal spot, in the corner of the brewery. I waited for my barista, and new found friend Kayla to bring over my things. She brought them over and I gave her two dollars for her troubles. She thankfully accepted it. And from the corner of my eye i saw him. The beautiful creature with the most mesmerizing hazel eyes. "Kayla, that's him", I said discreetly pointing to the attractive boy. "Oh him, yeah I've seen him around here a couple times but I never got his name. He is one smoking piece of meat though". I laughed at the way she was basically eye raping him. "You should introduce yourself".

"Are you crazy!", I exclaimed covering my mouth directly after because the people sitting at the table to the right of me started to look at me like I was crazy."What would a smoking hot dude, like him want with me. I'm just a shabby 17 year old with over grown hair and basic brown eyes. Not to mention I'm screwed up in the head, especially with everything that's gone on recently in my life".

"Dude, you're hot and you have a body I'd kill for. Your hair looks fine. And you don't have basic brown eyes, they have specks of light brown in them too. You know better than me that you've gotta go after what you want in life before it's too late".

She was right, well maybe not about me be smoking hot, but I should take chances in life especially when they're right in front of me. I stood up and Kayla lightly shoved me towards his direction once she noticed that my feet weren't moving. I hesitantly walked towards to wear he was standing by the cashiers. I looked back at Kayla and she gave me a thumbs up, then left her spot in the corner of a shop to tend to a customer who called her over.

Before I even got to speak I heard a deep voice say "Hello, I'm Anthony".
