***Picture to the side of Triana***

"Triana, get your ass downstairs now! If you're late one more time ima beat that ass... you've been warned little girl." My momma yelled from downstairs. Why is she always so damn vulgar all the damn time?

"I'm coming!" I yelled back. I'm here trying to get ready to go to this shit school and I can't even do that in peace. I grabbed my sweater off my door handle and checked myself in the mirror one last time. Yup I was on point today! I wore my white skinny jeans with a nice off the shoulder grey long sleeved top. My shoes were always on! I had on them cool greys that topped off this outfit perfectly. Today I decided to wear my hair straight rather than leave it in its natural curly state. I had on my silver hoops and dabbed on a little bit of my lip gloss just to add a nice shine. I hurried out of my room shutting the door behind me. I knew my momma would leave me if I took too long so I had to put a pep in my step today. I walked into the living room and saw my mom throwing on her sweater. She looked up at me when she heard me enter the room.

"What took your ass so long? You must think I have all day to spend waiting on you."

"Well I'm ready now so we can go."

"It would have been better if you were ready 5 minutes ago. That would have been nice."

"Oh my gosh ma! You're wasting time right now having this pointless conversation so let's go!" I was getting mad irritated. Why my ma always tried to make something out of nothing is something that I needed to figure out.

She kissed her teeth at me and headed out the house door. As we were walking out I spotted my brother's car pulling up. I squealed and ran over to the car and as soon as one of my brothers hopped out the car I jumped on him. I loved my three brothers to death. They taught me all that I needed to know to survive out here. Nobody ever tried to mess with the trio because they knew they'd get their shit handled right quick. I haven't seen them for a few months. All I knew was that they had to handle some business and went M.I.A for a minute. I already knew the type of 'business' they were handling. Working in the drug game was some serious shit. I didn't really mind them doing what they did as long as they stayed safe doing it. My family couldn't handle another death due to drug related stuff. I was just glad that Deandre, Quinton and Ra'Quan were back. I slowly took my time embracing all of them.

"Hey big head, how you been?" Quinton asked me. He was the oldest out of the trio.  All my brothers looked alike. They were all tall, muscular, tatted and had a brown skin complexion.

"I've been good. I've missed you guys so much."

"We've missed you too. Hey momma" They all walked over to my mom kissing her cheek and embracing her in tight hugs. I saw a few tears run down my mom's face. I knew she missed them as much as I did and always prayed for their safety. My mom didn't like what they did but she didn't knock it either, especially since she understood the hustle since her and daddy use to live that same life. They use to slang together. Some of the hardest OG's a muthafucka would ever come across my dad and ma. However after my dad got gunned down she decided it was time to turn her life around, not only for herself but for the fam. It was unfortunate that all her kids including myself followed in their footsteps. We are all bosses up in this bitch. Don't let my small size and friendliness fool you. Yes I could be the sweetest person you may ever come across, but if you fucked with the fams or tried to catch an attitude with me all niggas and females alike will get rocked. I hold it down and keep it 1 hunna all day.

"Don't cry ma, we are alive and here. You should be smiling right now." They tried to cheer her up and started wiping the tears from her cheeks.

"I'm just glad to see you here right now. I missed my babies so much." She said to them. They continued to hug and this was just getting too long and drawn out for me.
