My best friend, my sister, my nigga was going through it right now. Triana is a strong son of a bitch so I know she will get through it, or at least I hope so man. I can't think of anything else but the condition she's in. Why would God let this happen? A bunch of questions and thoughts were flowing through my brain as I drove over to Kayleeya's house. I haven't seen her in a day and I wanted to check on her because I knew she was not holding up well. I pulled up in her driveway and hopped out my car. I made my way up to her house that had the paint peeling and wasn't in a good shape. She lived in a small house with her and her mom. Her mom didn't have time to maintain the house do to the fact that she had to work a lot. I knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer it. When no one came I banged on the door a little bit harder. I knew her ass was in there so I patiently waited.
"WHAT!" Kayleeya yelled from the other side of the door. She yanked open the door and she looked like a hot ass mess. Whenever she came to the hospital she at least made an effort to look somewhat put together. Right now she had on a blue robe that had a few holes in it and looked mad dirty, her hair was looking similar to a birds nest and it smelt like she hadn't taken a shower in forever.
"No offense or anything but girl you stink bruh! You need a hot shower. I know you going through it and shit but at least look presentable." I told her as I pushed my way through into her house.
"Thanks." She replied sarcastically.
"So I would ask how you were doing but I can already see you're not doing well do to your current state." She stuck her middle finger up at me.
"This isn't funny you jackass! My best friend, my sister is laid up in the damn hospital and she may die within the next 2 days! I don't get it. I don't know what I'd do without her." She said crying. Despite how she looked and smelled I went to give her a hug. I understood, I really did. She hugged me back tightly.
"You need to save them tears for another day, she's alive right now. You're up in here sulking and shit when you can be spending time with her. Go take a damn shower and we will go see her together. I don't even wanna hear a single excuse come out of your mouth so hop to it now!" I demanded before I steered her in the direction of her bathroom.
"Okay fine." She sighed before she shut the bathroom door. I heard the shower cut on shortly after and I went to chill out on her couch. I turned on the TV and watched a bit of it before I started to zone out. I kept having flashbacks of when we were younger and the vow we had made to each other. We were like 7 years old at the time.
We were playing around in the park with our school friends and we had finally settled on playing a game of hide and go seek. Triana and I had ran off together to go hide. We ran into the forest where we had hid behind a few bushes where we were sure no one would find us. We were talking about life and for 7 year olds that was nothing special.
"What do you want to be when you grow up?" She asked me.
"I want to be a superhero! I want to be able to help people when they need it. What do you want to be?" I responded to her.
"I want to be somebody!" She responded. I looked at her confused. I didn't understand what she meant but I shrugged it off.
"Cool."
"You're my bestest friend. You always listen to me." She told me as she looked down shyly.
"You're my best friend too. Forever and always!" I told her.
"Do you promise? Pinky Promise to always be here for me be here to listen to me when I’m sad or mad or happy?" She asked. I nodded my head.
