Dominic

I feel like everywhere I went I see her. I’m in school I see her, I go to the mall I see her, I go to sleep she’s in my dreams. I don’t like her but dang, I just don’t know what it is. I know my cousin thinks I do but I don’t. Shit, I probably sound like a little bitch! This shit needs to end. I looked up as I saw my door open and my cousin walk in.

“Get the fuck up bruh! It’s 1 in the afternoon, what are you still doing in bed?” He asked as he picked up a book off of my dresser and threw it at me.

“Nigga the fuck is you throwing shit at me for? Why am I getting out of bed?” I asked as I threw my hand over my head. I heard a chair being dragged on the floor. I lifted my hand to see Malik was pulling up a chair to have a seat.

“Man you’ve been sitting up in this room for days now just looking mad depressed. What is wrong with you?” He asked sounding a little concerned.

“It’s nothing don’t worry about it.” I told him throwing my hand back over my face.

“You’ve been acting like a little bitch for a minute now. You need to cut this shit out.” I looked over at him with a raised eyebrow. I gave a sarcastic chuckle.

“Ok then sir.” I replied to him. I saw him shake his head.

“If you like her why don’t you stop being a fuckin asshole and act like you know something?” He asked. I looked over at him confused.

“Don’t give me that confused looking bullshit. I’m not stupid. We are family. What, you don’t think I notice that every time you run into Triana you start acting like your dog died?” He said putting the pieces to the puzzle together. I just acted like I didn’t know what he was talking about.

“I don’t even know what you’re talking about. I don’t like ol’girl man.” I replied to him.

“Alrighty then. Well sit up in here sulking all day. I’m out.” He said before he got up off the chair and put it back in its original spot before he left, shutting the door behind him.

He don’t know what he’s talking about. I don’t like the girl, I would definitely know.  Right?

Triana

I’ve been spending a lot of time with my family. My mood is always significantly better when I’m around them. I’m the type of person who values the time I do get to spend with my family. I jumped as I felt a pain run through my ear. I looked over to Ra’Quan who was dying of laughter.

“Nigga what the fuck is wrong with you, you maggot ass?” I asked as I punched him in the chest for flicking my ear. He continued to die of laughter.

“Your reaction to shit is too funny!” He exclaimed.

“Do that shit again and Ima pop you in the face!” I told him as I mugged him.

“Cuss again and ima beat you.” I heard Quinton say over on the other couch that he was sitting on in our medium sized living room.

“You swear more than I do. My little cussing here and there is whatever.” I explained to him as I rolled my eyes.

“Don’t look at what I’m doing, be your own person. But cuss again if you think you bad little sis.” Quinton said with a sly smile on his face. I just gave him the middle finger. Before I knew it he was in front of me with his belt off and extending it out to my thighs and my arms. It wasn’t hard enough to make me cry, but it wasn’t soft enough to not feel the stings. I started laughing and screaming at the same time.
