"Can I have another shot?" a drunken Elena slurred as she plopped down her empty shot glass looking at the bartender with pleading eyes.

The bartender smiled and set up another three shots of straight vodka. Elena had been giving him a lot of business with her endless order of shots. The bar was partly empty with a few drunken singers singing karaoke and a couple college students doing body shots. Elena had taken so many shots she couldn't even remember the bar's name anymore. Straight vodka and beer were not good for the brain.

Elena had come here to wash her brain, to forget the last five years of her life. The alcohol was certainly working. Elena flipped her head to the side gulping down more and more alcohol ignoring the burn it caused her throat. Someone sat next to her on the open stool. "Fancy meeting you here, Elena."

With so much alcohol in her veins and brain, Elena could only register that Matt was sitting next to her. Not the person that tried to ruin her relationship with Stefan when Silas was haunting them. For Elena, all she could think of that he was sitting next to her. Way too much alcohol was in her. This is not what Elena was supposed to think. She was supposed to hate Matt's guts.

"Where's your knight in shining armor?" Matt asked with his annoying voice.

Elena just shook her head drunkenly hoping that would answer Matt's question and he would stop bothering her. She was too drunk to care. Soon the alcohol began seeping in her mind and affected her hearing. All Elena could see was Matt's mouth moving with no words pouring out. The next set of shots was set up. Elena took all three within a minute without even thinking.

Next thing Elena knew Matt was pulling her onto the dance floor where a bunch of people were dancing out of control. Elena tripped and stumbled due to her high alcohol intake. Her brain wasn't working. Her body wasn't moving. She wanted to pull away so bad, but she couldn't move her arm an inch. Matt was in control of her now.

Elena's mind blacked out not noticing the time changing. When her mind woke up again Matt was attempting to take advantage of her making her feel so dirty. This was wrong, really wrong. But, her body didn't obey her mental commands.

Her mind screamed no, but her body didn't move in any format of getting away from Matt. She tried everything, but her mind couldn't make her body budge. It was no use; she knew Matt was going to take advantage of her tonight. There was nothing Elena could do.

"Elena?"

Elena didn't know who was calling her name, but it was the voice of her savior. Matt growled against her neck, but his lips released its hold on her neck. Elena's mind kicked in a bit letting her stumble away from Matt. She fell into her savior's arms. They were strong and warm against her as they held her, protecting her.

The savior growled probably glaring at Matt. "What are you doing?"

Matt grinned his Cheshire cat grin right at Elena. "So, the knight in shining armor had finally arrived? Hurray!"

"Yes, now get away from her. She doesn't want to be with you." Elena's mind raced trying to think of who was holding her.

"She seemed to be having a good time with me." Matt's grin widened.

That had done it. Elena's savior's fist attacked Matt's face. Matt fell to the ground holding his badly bleeding nose. Elena's blurred eyes didn't see much else, because her savior was dragging her out of the bar.

Into the person's car Elena was placed in the passenger's seat. Her eyes shut before she could get a glimpse of the savior's face to identify it. They drove along with Elena's mind drifting into a short slumber.

Elena felt her body being picked up bridal style. Still drunk, Elena couldn't see the face of her savior. They were at Elena's house at least from what Elena's eyes squinted at. Good thing Amara wasn't here to see her mommy this way. Amara would be terrified for life.

They went upstairs and walked into the master bedroom that had the door open much to their luck. Finally when Elena was laid down on her bed she got a look at her savior's face. Her eyes cleared showing her the blue eyes that Elena loved so much. "Stefan?"

Stefan nodded his head slowly. "Yes, it's me. You're all right; I brought you home. Good thing I came before Matt could take advantage of you."

Elena saw hurt in Stefan's eyes. "Why were you there?"

"Valerie went out with a few of her friends. I was just going to the bar to clear my head."

"Me, too."

Stefan laughed and sat at the end of Elena's bed. "Oh yeah, your head is going to be spotless in the morning."

Suddenly Katherine's words entered Elena's head. He's either more than or nothing at all. It all depends on what you want. "Stefan?"

Stefan looked into Elena's brown eyes with his wondering blue eyes. He waited for her to speak. He felt it was something important since there was an urgency in Elena's voice. Just as when Elena opened her mouth to tell Stefan Amara was his daughter, the alcohol consumed her and she passed out.
A/N: Fun Fact: For those of you that don't know, Salvatore is Latin for savior.
