Connor looked at the TV, watching like he was watching the most fascinating thing in the world, and in a way he was.  He was watching static.  Static was sort of interesting.  To him.

To the rest of the team though?  No.  They just couldn't understand it.  But then again, hardly anybody understood him.  He was a clone... not just a normal clone, the clone of Superman.  To replace him should he perish, and to destroy him should he turn from the light.  Those were the words he had spoken to his first friends, Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad.

But that wasn't his purpose now, he would be his own hero and wouldn't replace Superman should he perish, he would just continue the work that Superman had started, just not be like Superman.  But he would definitely not destroy him.  That wasn't what heroes did.  Heroes save not kill.  Heroes fix not destroy.

He sighed, it was a tough life.  He rubbed Wolf's head and turned back to the static.  The reason it attracted him was the patterns, so inconsistent, so different, each it's own pattern, nothing really different.

He looked around him, it was quiet and peaceful.  No one was there.  Just him. Him and the static. And Wolf.

"Arrhhh!" Wally screamed,"Save me Supey!"

So much for peace and quiet,"Is it Artemis?" Connor sighed.

"Robin." Wally replied.

Connor lifted an eyebrow,"You are so dead."

"I know right!" Wally responded.

"What did you do?" Connor asked curious of what Wally had done.

"I stole his sunglasses." Wally whispered.

"You are so dead." Connor repeated.

"I know right!" Wally repeated back.

"Well, today is the day.  The day that Kid Flash leaves this earth and goes to the afterlife." Connor dramatically said.

Wally screamed,"No, I'm to young to die!  I don't want to go to an afterlife."

"I wonder what color his eyes are," Connor murmured to himself,"Blue, green, brown?"

Wally didn't answer.

"Did you see them?" Connor asked.

"Nope." lied Wally.

"Darn it." Connor said,"Well we will find our soon enough."

"He's running around with his eyes shut." Wally said.

"Oh! Seriously?!" Connor laughed,"Hahahahahahahaha."

"Wow, the day I die is the day you laugh, wonders never cease." Wally sarcastically said.

"Blind bird." Connor said.

"Don't underestimate him." Wally warned,"He still is vicious."

Suddenly Robin appeared out of nowhere, eyes shut, bird-a-rang in his hand."Hi Kid Mouth." he grinned and launched himself onto the unfortunate teenager.

After a short tussle the sunglasses were back on Robin and Kid Flash was suffering.

Connor looked back at the static and smiled, being a clone of the Superman wasn't to bad, especially when you had friends to cheer you up.  He knew as much as he wanted to, he wouldn't destroy the man of steel or replace him.  He would be his own hero, he knew that know.  Luckily he had tons of stuff to get him through it, a girlfriend, a team, a trainer, villains, a pet wolf, a sphere, and especially, especially...

And especially... he had static.  He would always have static.
