This endless hard rock feeling sat in my stomach and for once in my life my mother squeezed my hand because somewhere in her heart she was scared of the outcome of this trip.

My father paced back and forth. I told my family about Geoffrey coming and my father was excited to meet this man. We're all waiting for Geoffrey at the airport. He's not late or anything we're just all antsy. Finally I see him arrive and I get up and hug him. I smile at him and he smiles down at me.

"Goodmorning beautiful." I rolled my eyes and I grabbed his hand. He touched his forehead with mine.

"You ready to meet the family sir?" He nods his head and I bring him over to my family.

"Geoffrey this is my sister Natasha and her fiancé." He shakes their hands and smiles. My sister batting her eyelashes. This hoe... Woh woh woh Nicole we don't slut shame.

"Geoffrey this is my mother Mrs. Banks-Jiménez." he shakes her hand as he says hello politely. I turn to my father.

"This is my papa Mr. Jiménez." My father has his hands in a hug position and he hugs him. I smile at the interaction. Anyone could tell that my father is my bestfriend. I hear our seats being called and we all get on to the plane.

Goeffrey got a seat infront of my father and I. We all sat down and 30 minutes within the plane ride My dad taps my shoulder.

"I like him." I smile and shrugg. I kiss my dads cheek.

"I like him to papa." My dad smiles and I put my head on his shoulder. Falling asleep. It's a straight plane trip there thank God.

"I swear I didn't let go," I was on my knees pleading with him.

"I just tried to forget, but I didn't let go." I began to cry and cry. I looked up at him and he squatted down and hugged me.

"Say you forgive me." I heard his breath exhale and he rubbed my back.

"I forgive you." I closed my eyes.

I woke up to the plane landing. I felt my self take a breath. I looked at my father as he stared straight forward and took a breath. He rubbed his hands on his pants back and forth. I held his hands and looked at him

"It'll be fine papa. If you want his number, we can stop by a payphone and you can call him." He looked at me and a tear escaped his eyes. I wiped his face and we all exited the plane. Geoffrey held my hand and had his shades on. We got our bags from the airport and we left in a van.

"Where we headed?" Geoffrey whispered to me. I smiled at him and whispered back.

"My grandparents home." the driver began to drive and my dad sat in front of me as I massaged his back to calm him down.

"Why is dad so wound up?" I looked at Natasha and rolled my eyes. I just stayed quiet. It's too much to explain.

We arrived to my grandparents house and I hopped out the car and knocked on their door. My grandmother opened the door all wide.

"Abuelaaaaaa." I hugged her and she kissed my cheek. Natasha hugged her gently because she doesn't know her. She's only talked to her on the phone.

"Hello Grandmother." We all came into the home. I was about to speak in Spanish but I knew no one would understand except my father.

"Abuela this is a friend of mine. This is Geoffrey." my grandmother smiled and gave a flirty playful eye. She held her hand out and he took it and kissed it.

"Well Hellooo." I began to laugh and I saw my father whisper to my grandmother and she nodded her head.

"I'll be back everyone. Sit, sit, I'll be right back." We all sat except for me and I went next to the the kitchen opening and listened to their conversation.

"How is he?" I heard and sigh. I peeked a little and a smile overcame my grandmother's face.

"He's good and he's handsome and strong." I came into the kitchen and I looked at my dad. I wrote the number down on a nearby paper and sat it infront of him.

"Call him papa. Invite him over for dinner tonight." My father nodded his head and went to the phone and began to call him. I left the kitchen with my grandmother behind me.

"Okay everyone dinner is at 7 and I don't like anyone being late. Natasha and your fiancé take the back room. Mother take the bigger guest room. Geoffrey and I will take the room next to Natasha's." my mother looked at me and squinted.

"Is that how your grandmother wants it?" I looked at my grandmother and sat on the couch. I don't have time for my mother.

"It's fine with me Andrea." I rubbed my temples. My grandmother grabbed her pipe and she had me follow her outside to sit on the stoop. She had a bucket of fish. She lit the tobacco in her pipe with a match.

"I like him," I looked at my grandmother and smiled.

"Your Geoffrey." We began to scrape the fish of It's extra layers.

"Abuela, do you think he'll come tonight? I mean what if he holds a grudge." she looked at me and smiled she layed her head on my shoulder and sat back up.

"He won't. He'll come be optimistic." I smiled and finished with the fish. We went back inside and started to season it.

"I'll finish in here." I nodded my head washed my hands and went out into the living room with everyone else. My dad came from the back.

"Everyone I'm leaving for a while I'll be back." I smiled at him and he left with no one asking questions except for Natasha looking confused.

"How do you like Colombia so far Natasha?" she smiled and stared at me.

"I like it." at least she appreciates it.
