The Date

My phone beeps and I look down at it,it's from Tobias i open it and read it aloud to Tris who's reading her magazine "this is what it says Tris,hey Em so about tonight do you wanna go out for dinner somewhere or come over to my house,my parents are happy to have you over so just text me later when you decide -Tobias" I read  it out mocking his voice.Tris smiles at me once I finish reading the text,"well isn't he a charmer" I glare at her."Oh come on he's nice.It's not my fault he fell for my charming good looks" I flick my hair back like they do in the movies."Sure keep thinking that Em"she laughs we both laugh."So where are you going?"Tris asks smirking "I don't know" I point at her "and even if I did I would never tell you."Why not aren't you supposed to tell best friends everything?"she mocks my voice-I say that every time she goes on a date."Fine I'll call you when I know"I say then add -in childish voice-"BESTY!" I pull her into a big hug."Now"she says her smirk widening "time for dress-up I'm gonna make you look FAB!"she does jazz hands then gets out her make-up-kit "oh god"I sigh.

After about two or three hours of dresses and make-up I was ready.Tobias walks up to the door and holds it open-well at lest until we start talking-we met at the cup."Hey"I say shyly "Hi and be-four you ask this was not my idea"he points at his suit."you look nice...er I mean...umm..."I stammer and look away my checks burning with embarrassment."No uhh...It's ok should...should we just go inside and act as if that never happened?" "yeah". I rub the back of my neck as I walk inside."Hello Welcome to THE CUP! do you have a reservation?"asks the counter lady who's name tag is hidden under neath her hair."Uh yeah it's under Tobias Woods"he says getting out his I.D "ok yup right over here please". We follow the lady and sit down."Well this is nice and you look amazing uh...um..."Tobias stammers but I smile anyway."thanks"I say "you don't look to bad yourself Tobias"I smile.We order our food when it arrives where already talking."...So whats your favorite color"I ask Tobias "green. But other then that  how are you liking this umm...you know...this..uhh...this date?"he asks shyly."So that's what this is ok then...so far great"I smile.

When we finish and leave Tobias drops me off."Thanks for the dinner and the ride And the date"I say smiling "your welcome Emmy"he smiles at me."Oh  for god sake Tobias just call me Em already it's not that hard see E-M Em"I say laughing "ok Em I'll walk you to the door"he says.We walk hand-in-hand to the door.When we reach the door the door Tobias turns to me and smile our eyes meet and I start to smile too.Tobias puts hand on my check and leans down he presses his lips on mine and kiss's me I kiss him back my hands grabs his hair and keeps him there.When he pulls back my hands fall to my sides we stare at each other for a minute and I smile and does too."I should do inside Tris will want to know whats happened"I say tucking a lose strand of my hair behind my ear."Ok well see you tomorrow at school and Em do...do you wanna be umm...you know..be my...gi...girlfriend?"he asks and I notice that he's shaking but without a moments hesitation I kiss him on the check "does that answer you question and if not it's a yes"I smile and walk inside.
