On That Day

~Chapter 3

"Ill miss you Mere"  

I kept replaying the scene in my head. 

*Flash Back*

"Catch me if you can!" I said running , my hair blowing fast in the wind. Those silly boys will never get me. I hid behind one of the green portables. I brought my hands to my chest. I thought my heart was going to come out of my shirt. I looked around the corner. Ugh Willy was coming -fast. I started to run again. My eyes started to water. Stupid wind. 

Oh no.

My laces had come undone, but I hadn't realized. My eyes were watering so much I couldn't see. Some seconds later I was on the ground. I didn't know what was going on. I then felt the pain strike through my body. My eyes started to swell up.

Tears bursted out of my eyes. I sat there holding my knee. 

That's what I had hurt.

The blood came rushing out, just like my tears.

I then felt a tight arm around me. It was William. His breathing fast. "Mere are you ok?" He said with worry in his eyes. I could tell he wanted to cry.

I didn't respond to his question. "Willy, get a teacher quick please." He looked at me and off he went running as fast as he could. 

"I'll take this from here. Thank you William' The teacher ruffled Williams hair. I always liked Mrs. Kelly, she was so kind and gentle. She scooped me up into her arms and off to the office we went.

"I'll miss you Mere" Tears suddelny begain to rush out of William's eyes.

*****

"Mere..Mere answer me are you alright?"

Reality finally kicked in.

"Oh I-I'm sorry, I was just thinking about something" I said while scratching my knee. The scar from when I fell was still there.

Tears started to well out of my eyes, I tried to push them away. But instead, William had for me. His rough fingers moving across my wet cheek.

"Hey..look at me don't cry Mere. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry." He brought me to his chest. His heart was beating fast. William softly pecked me on my head. 

"No, I'm sorry William." I stepped out of his hug. I used my sleeve to wipe away the extra tears.

I had to be strong.

"I know we haven't seen each other in a while. I should of thought about that."

"Mere its-"

"No, William stop. I promise I will make this up for you. I stepped closer." William grabbed my arms and passionately kissed me. Everything seemed to fade away. I felt safe in his arms.

My phone alarm went off. Reality ruined my life (again).

Crap I was supposed to shop for some clothes for when I went to New York. I had to be home.

"I'm sorry William" I looked into his blue eyes.

"I understand" He gave me a warm smile and pecked me on the cheek. "I guess I will be seeing you around..soon? 

 "You will" I gave him a smile back. "I will give you a ring, ok?

"Ok'' William looked pleased. "Well I'll be heading off, goodbye Willy!" I gave him one last hug. A tear tried to escape my eyes, but I wouldn't let it go.

"Goodbye Meredith." We parted ways and off we went.

I made another chapter in my spare time since my first two had been so short.
