The sky was the colour of light magenta. It almost looked like cotton candy. I swear I could've reached out, and ate it. The park was full of playful kids, soon to be leaving of the dark night. I was waiting for a long while at the park, William hadn't showed up yet.
I felt hands go around my face, covering my eyes. I slightly screamed. The person finally let go of my face with their index finger to their lips. It was William. Kids were looking, standing with their little jaws open. I felt myself blush. I gave William a playful punch to the shoulder. He jokingly winced and started laughing.
"Hey that's not funny!" I abruptly said crossing my arms. "Did you see the kids faces?!" He grabbed himself and started laughing even more, so loud the little kids started getting attracted to come over to see what was going on. Soon after their parents said it was time to go, they were clearly upset about it. Kids and their curiosity these days.
William finally recovered minutes later. I took my hand and patted it on the bench, encouraging him to sit beside me. "I'm sorry Mere, for laughing but I wasn't expecting that reaction" He said still wiping tears from his eyes. "Ok, ok I get it, but I will get my revenge" An evil smirk appeared across my face. Williams face was filled with worry. It was my turn to laugh.
We had a really wonderful conversation. William seemed to understand me with every word. I'm happy he payed attention. Nobody was like that with me. People always seemed to be in their own world; which was quite rude. I always felt like I had to listen to them , but they wouldn't do the same for me.
Darkness had taken over light. Stars shined in the night sky. The wind picked up. I heard thunder roll. Damn it. It was going to rain. It was about time, but couldn't the rain holded off until I got home? We hardly got rain here where I live, its been harshly dry outside lately. By the time I reached home I was soaking wet. When I got inside, I saw mom and a couple of her close friends. I was happy to see them there. They were really supportive of my mother. That's how friends should be. I said hi to everyone and off to my room I went. I plopped myself on my bed and turned on my Mac book. I checked to see what time my flight was going to take place. My mom was going to drive me to The Los Angeles International Airport. Then from there I fly to Boston, and finally New York. There was only 3 more days until I left. It seemed so close. I felt like I wasn't ready, I didn't understand why I wanted to go in the first place. I got a bad feeling in my stomach, but I shook it off hoping it meant nothing. It was too late to cancel the flight. I should have thought it over. I was so excited and it got the best of me.

I awoke to a bright source of light. I rubbed my eyes, and opened them. It was my mom opening the windows.
"Honey, you've got to wake up"
"And good morning to you too" I said while grumbling. I had remembered mom and I were going to go out for breakfast at The Breakfast Bar. We had to go early because they closed at noon.
"Looks like someone's grumpy." She came up to me, ruffled up my hair and walked out of the room. What happened to "good morning honey'?". I shook the thought off. One minute mom would be angry, the next all cheeky. I didn't get this. Mom had been developing more problems since dad passed away, to the point it scared me.
We were on our way to the breakfast bar. Fall was slowly creeping on us, but it was my favourite season. I still didn't quite understand why the leaves changed colours, or why it had to get so darn cold soon. But luckily for me, since I live in California its not that bad when it comes to winter.
