Stuck In The Moment

CHAPTER:1

MACK's POV:

"Honey, it's time to wake up" my mom called from the door. Summer is finally over and now I can't wait to see all my friends again. "I'M UP MOM!" I said I was so bumped for today. Since it's still summertime, I got up from my bed went to my closet and pulled out a strapless mint dress with a bow in the back and my white hightop converse. I grabbed my backpack and ran down stairs. "Honey I made you breakfast......." I cut her off "No thx mom sorry if I wasted your time making me breakfast. But I think I'll just stop somewhere before I get to school ok?" she nodded and I headed straight out the door. I started walking to the bus stop until I heard my name being called. "MACK!" I turned around an notice it was one of my bests' friends Lola Pain. "Omg we haven't seen each other in awhile. We need to catch up on things. Why don't we skip the school bus and walk to the local dinner!" she said I've never done this before EVER. But I what could go wrong.

We arrived at the dinner, and we both order some pancakes. "So tell me what's up, there are so many questions I want to ask you. But the MOST important is did you get a "boyfriend" over the summer?". This was so embarrassing it's weird talking about my relationship status. But it is true. "Yes I did his name is.......JACOB!!" all of the sudden my other best friend I knew since like FOREVER happens to walk in on me while saying who my boyfriend is. " Oh my Gosh! Mack I haven't seen you all summer I've missed you so much............(we hugged) I hope that didn't sound too weird" I laughed. To be honest I really didn't think it was that bad, I mean I knew Jacob for almost my whole life. And for him to say that means he must really care about me......But as a friend.......RiGhT? "Not at all I was just sitting here with Lola". They said hi to each other, and he sat down next to me in the booth. "So you were saying....TELL ME WHO YOUR BOYFRIEND IS!?!?!" Lola said it so loud the whole dinner heard her. "A boy-friend" Jacob said. He look down and kinda look disappointed. "Yeah his name is Caleb, Caleb Evans" I smiled when I said his name. He's everything I've ever dreamed of: he's a brunette with greenish/bluish eyes, and is smart and honest. And to be truthful here he treats me right and I lov......like him for that. I can't wait to see him when we get to school.
