Chapter 7💀
*Scarlette's pov*
Once I had finished unpacking the few clothes that I had, I began inspecting the cell. It was a bit dank and small, but it was safe. The top bunk is where I'm going to sleep at night. It'll have to do. After inspecting the room for rats and not finding any, I walked out of the room towards the voices that I heard. It sounded like Rick, Hershel, and Daryl were talking.
I stopped and hid behind the wall leading to the area they were talking in. I heard Rick first. "I'm not sure what we should do anymore. We finally found a safe place, but what about the Governor? He knows where we are."
"He killed my brother." Daryl said with disgust. "We can't risk him harmin' no one else."
"Well, keep in mind that we now have many new elderly people and children. We need to keep them safe too." Hershel said, motioning with one crutch to the upstairs bunks where faint talking sounds could be heard.
Was this prison as safe as they made it out to be? Who was this "Governor" dude, and why was he so dangerous? Why did he kill Daryl's brother? So many questions are running through my head right now, and I honestly don't know what to think. I guess it'd been a long day, because before I knew it, I lost my balance and fell backwards onto the cold, hard prison floor.
