I reached into my pocket, and pulled out my iPhone. Eric's eyebrows shot up.

"You have a BlackBerry and an iPhone?!" He asked in disbelief.

"Yeah...Well, I take my BlackBerry into school; it's for Facebook and BBM..." I looked up at him. "You do know what BBM is, don't you?"

He nodded, grinning. I exhaled in relief.

"And my iPhone's for music, dowloads and playing games when I get bored. I leave it at home though, normally. I took it with me on the night I told him about...you know."

Eric nodded. "Why don't you just use Facebook on your iPhone? Then you only have one phone to deal with."

"Yeah, but...Fine. Here you go." I handed him my BlackBerry.

"I already have an iPhone. I don't need two phones like some people..." He said playfully, rolling his eyes a little. "Keep your BlackBerry, and give it to your sister, or leave it at your house if we go past there."

"Yeah...I guess so. Wait. You said, 'if we go past'. We're going to my sister's; she doesn't care if I have wings..." My voice trailed off as I imagined the situation. It was kinda a bad idea. "So, what are we going to do?" I asked Eric, raising my eyebrows.

He hesitated, and finally let out a sigh, giving up. "We'll visit your sister, but if she doesn't accept you for what you are, and after we've told her everything, then, I guess we could go back to my old apartment or something..."

I looked up at him. "You have an apartment?"

"Well, yeah...before I became..." - he pointed to his wings, smiling a little. - "this."

I sighed, looking back at my own wings, which were still looking like a relatively think sheet of fragile glass.

As if reading my thoughts, yet again, Eric put his hand on my wing, being ever so careful.

"It's okay. Yours will go feathery after a few weeks too, but first your DNA needs to calm down first. It's still changing, going from fully human, to only half." He smiled at me. "Okay, let's go to Liz's house."

I looked at him in amazment, and had to mentally hold my jaw shut to stop it from popping open. "Really?"

He nodded. "Yeah, did you want to fly there, Bella?"

My eyes brightened with happiness. "Oh, can we?"

"Well, we can hardly get on a bus with wings..."

I looked at my back again. "Yeah, you may have a point there..." I sighed, rolling my eyes a little. "Okay, how do we fly?"

"Come on, lets go outside."

We started walking outside to the back garden, which was like a mansion's garden of all the different flowers: fresias, sunflowers, tulips etc.

He sighed dramitically when we reached a huge patch of grass, like a small field.

"So, how do we fly?"

"Spread your wings out like this," He said slowly, as if it were obvious. I elbowed him playfully.

"Hey! It's not my fault, I'm only human."
