Hey, I'm at school (unfortunately), and in free period, so I thought I'd update my story :P

Enjoy :D

I gasped along with Eric's thoughts of stunned silence.

James turned back to me, his eyes full of sadness and his head hanging in despair.

"I know, I'm-" He began.

"Beautiful," I whispered. My hand was over my mouth in shock, my eyes wide; as if to take his beautiful sleek black wings in. Confusion crossed his face.

"Huh? What are you talking about? Bella..." He grimaced.

You could see he was going through mental pain, sifting through the memories he needed to tell so I would understand his past.

"My parents are both vampires, and waited until I was old enough to make my choice to become one of them. I finsihed school and had the best GCSE results you could get. On my 18th birthday, my parents told me what they were; and what they could do. Then they asked me a question I regret to this day: Will you join us?"

He winced, and I read his thoughts, feeling he was remembering his parents' exact words; the voice he had known as his mother and father ever since he was born.

"You said yes, and it was agony; so much so after you found out what you'd agreed to become, you tried to kill yourself," I said in a dazed voice, looking into his thoughts, my eyes slightly glazed over.

James was staning, staring at me with wide eyes, his shirt still off.

"You tried everything you could think of," I continued in the same dazed voice. "You jumped off a cliff, asked your best friend, Eric to shoot you-" I gasped in shock, ripping my way back to reality.

You asked your best friend, Eric to shoot you," I repeated in a whisper, the words shooting little daggers into my heart. Who would want to hurt James, when he was just confused and annoyed at his own choices and as to what he was.

Then I realised something: I loved James too.

"Why would you ask Eric to shoot you?"

James looked away.

"I hated the fact I'd said yes. I tried to destroy the thing they loved. It didn't work, no matter how hard I tried." He sighed, looking out of the window, his hadns clenching the grey stone ledge-

There was a crunching, as if someone was chrushing hard wrapper-

"James!" I gasped, watching his crush the stone ledge with his bare hands.

He let go and punching the side of the window, leaving a gaping hole.

"It pissed me off so much!" He yelled into the night, and turned back around to face me. His eyes were red with anger. That's when I started to run.

"Bella!" James called after me, sounding annoyed at himself.

Eric flew in front of me then, holding his hands out in front of him for me to stop.

I made a sudden stop, my hair flying in front forward in front of me.

"What?" I choked out.

He put his hands on my shoulders, then pulled me towards his body, hugging me comfortingly.

"It's okay, it's okay..." He said softly.

I hugged him back.

"I have to go, I'll be in my room," I murmured, before bolting off to my room to pack.

                                                                    ******************

"Hey," James greeted me casually, walking into my room with a thin black vest, wings out and a pair of khaki shorts hanging loosely off his hips.

It was getting hot outside, and the heat was effecting me too. After I'd gotten back from my flying lesson with Eric, I'd changed into my light blue denim shorts, and a sky blue tank top. Eric had been acting normal, casually asking questions about my life when I was little and what I remembered of my sister.

Then, when he asked about my school social life, I remembered the baby that was still growing inside me. Was he/she like us too? Or still human? I couldn't exactly ask the doctors to give me an ultrasound with my wings on my back; we were going to have to wait and see.

Eric ignored my thoughts, but I felt curiosityand fear come from his own. He continued asking about my home life, and what it was like living with Liz.

"Hey, James," I replied, collapsing down on my bed, sighing with exhaustion.

I had packed everything of mine in a sachel at the end of my bed.

"Eric's in his room," James told me, picking up my picture of Liz and my parents, when they were alive. He touched it lightly with his index finger, smiling weakly.

I nodded, not trusting my voice.

"Bella, I know you must think of me as some kind of monster half-breed now, being half your kind, half my parents," His voice cracked on the last word.

I glided over to him with my wings - which were begining to grow feathers - putting my hand to his delicatly.

"It's okay, James," I said softly. "I've got my history too." I took a deep breath, trailing a finger over my lower stomach absently. I went to lean on the window sill for support and continued. "I've already told Eric, so it doesn't matter if you know too. Plus, I want you to know, as it's going to happen anyway,"

James was looking at me while I spoke into the midday sky, sunlight pouring into my room.

"On the last night of my human life, I talked to my boyfriend, explaining things. We'd slept together, as a birthday present, becasue we both loved eachother; or so I thought,"

James touched my cheek softly and kissed away a tear I'd let loose. I hadn't realised I'd started to cry. I sniffed and blew my nose on a tissue I kept in my pocket, wishing the sadness would go away with it.

"When I told him...something, he didn't like it, and ranted on about how I was such a slut," I took a deep breath.

"What was it?" James asked softly, convern hinting his voice.

I turned my head to look at him.

"I'm pregnant," I whispered, tear streaming down my face uncontrollably.
