Two

   Amaya walks to the fountain and wonder if Shu is okay. Many thought runs through her mind,worrying about him.She then hears the triplets giggles. She smiles at them as she sees them coming towards her. She picks up her dress and starts to play with them. They all start to laugh loudly as the bats flew away. Kanato starts to cry,"The bats I just caught flew away."He rubs his eyes. Laito smiles and says,"Don't cry Kanato We can catch them again."Ayato also reassures his brother and says,"Yeah so stop your sniveling.I will catch them for you." Kanato smiles and they all start to run again.
Clack. Click. Clack. The sound of heels walking towards them as they suddenly stoprunning to see the first wife and the mother of the triplets,Cordelia. "Ayato?"she calls out. Amaya gazes at the mother with hatred.She doesn't like the mother at all. Her mother always tells her to stay away from her. Cordelia has emptiness in her eyes as she looks at her sons. She has no feelings and will never have any. She has no heart. She is just a demon looking for attention. Lust...that is what her mother calls it. That woman desires is nothing that should people should ever feel when they are in love. "Lust is a lie" Amaya was told once before from her mother.
"Is this where you have been?"Cordelia ask."Come with me".
Laito grabs Amaya's hand and Laito looks at Kanato saying,"Let's go."They nod and they all start to run away."You're going back inside to study."she says. Ayaato looks down and says,"N...No way. All i ever done is study."She replies back,"Return to your room this instance."Ayato fights back,"How come Kanato and Laito get to play while all I ever do is study."
She narrows her eyes at him and sneers back,"Because you are not like other children."Ayato clutches his fist and yells,"No! I wanna play more."
Cordelia yells back,"How many times must I tell you?! You are the successor! Do you understand what that means?! Now tell me what you must do."Ayato looks down,sadly."I must become number one I must become better than anyone else."He whispers.
"And if you fail?"Cordelia pushes. "I am not my mother's child,so I will be sunk to the bottom of the lake."Cordelia smiles wickedly."Good boy! You are worthless to me unless you are number one . Worthless boys must spend eternity at the cold,damp bottom of the lake,all alone where no one can find them. Unless that is what you want, go to your room."
Ayato turns and runs away,crying.Cordelia walks to a bench and sits down. Kanato runs up to her,"Mother?"
She replies back,"Kanato,my little song bird,sing to me."
Kanato nods his head and says,"Yes, mother." He then begins to sing and Laito sits next to his mother,leaving Amaya all alone. Amaya sighs and behgins to walk back to her parents,wanting to leave already. Crunch. Crunch. She turns her head to the sound of branches getting stomp on. She sees Ayato hiding behind a tree. She smiles at him ,but he didn't return the smile back. She the took a step forward ,but he runs away. She looks down at her feet."All alone once again."she thought. She then begins to walk toward the other side of the garden,counting each step at a time. After a little while, she looks up and realize that she is not in the garden any more.She sees the mansion. It is farther than the garden,but she can still see it. She observes her surroundings and realize she is in the forest. It was silent. the only thing that can be heard is leaves rustling and the wind whistling. The air is light. Amaya inhales the smell of fresh wood and wildflowers. She looks up and sees the tress clashing together as if they were squashed and there was no room. Dark green leaves falling to the ground. Twigs,broken branches,pine neeedles, and pine cones covering the floors of the forest. Amaya hesitantly walks forward,knowing that when she walks back her parents will be angry. She pulls her dress up a little more and climbs over a huge log. As she wipes the dirt off,she heard feet shuffling behind her.
She grabs a branch from the ground and turns around ,pointing the stick where the noise was. Leaves crunch beneath someone's or something's foot as it steps forward. Amaya drops the sticks and puts her hand on her chest. She pouts.
"Amaya?"Shu questions. Amaya nods her head and steps towards him. "What are you doing here?"he ask.
She just shrugs and mumbles,"I got lost for a little bit."He nods his head,slowly. Amaya looks into his eyes and ask,"Are you okay?" He smiles and nods. She smiles back. He grabs her hand and says,"Come On. I have something to show you."He covers her eyes and pulls her towards him. they continue to walk further into the forest. Finally after fifteen steps,they stop. "We are here."he says. He removes his hand away from her eyes. And her eyes widen at the sight. There was an empty spot in the middle of the forest. It was kind of small. The trees surrounds the spot. And in the middle of the empty spot was a tiny pond. Birds were chriping and frogs and insects were making noises. it was peaceful and calm. She looks up at the sun and sees that it is leaving. the sky was colorful. . It had purple,pink,orange and yellow.
"Pretty."she mumbles. Shu nods his head and pulls her towards the pond. She giggles and observes the animals. Shu points at the pond and says,"Look."She looks at where Shu is pointing. She smiles as she sees her and Shu reflections,holding hands happily.
"I wish I can stay here forever."Shu says. Amaya nods her head in agreement. Shu turns his body towards her and grabs her other hand. She looks at him confused ,but turns her body towards him.
"Amaya, one day I would like to live here with you as my princess. We can live far far away from the mansion. We can be free. We can play with Edgar everyday. We can create a home and live happily ever after." Shu says. His eyes light up as he imagines it. His face turns pink and then her cheeks turn pink. She looks away and nods. She looks at him and blushes more ."One Day. I promise."he says. She tiptoes and kisses Shu's cheek quickly and runs back to the garden,giggling. His face turns beet red and his eyes are wide. He stays there standing in shock, but then starts to run back to the garden,smiling. However, what Shu didn't know is that everything will be changed...
