Three

  Three weeks later...
Shu casually walks past his father's office but stops when he hears slamming. He jumps and looks at the closed door,full with wonder. "Find them!"Karl barks. Shu hears other voices,but couldn't make put what they were saying. "I do not care. Do not calm me down. Kastu and Takeshi go back to their mansion and look for some evidence and find the culprit. Nobu, Ryuu, and Yuu look for Tessa and Amaya. There may still be time for them. If we cannot find the culprit then we shall only look for Tessa and Amaya. Their lives are more important. Come back to me when you find something."Karl booms.
Shu eyes widen. Many thoughts run through his mind. He press his ear against the door. "But My King, what about the Private Castell?"a young raspy male voice ask.
"Vincent would want Tessa and Amaya to be found first. Do not question me. I know my soldier. Whoever done this better watch his back. I bet the damn culprit was from the underworld."Karl sneer."Now go. Find them immediately. We can not waste anytime. "
"Yes sir."five male voices yells."She backs away and hides behind a plant next to his father's office. The door opens and they begin to run. Karl shuts the door and hides in his office. Shu looks at his father's office in fear and runs away,hoping that Amaya is still alive.
Couple days later...
It is pitch black and the rain begins to pour. Through out the mansion was dark tension. Everyone was separated and in their own room,waiting to hear the news about the Castell family. Shu looks out of his window,waiting for the soldiers to come back. Shu remembers hearing his father saying that they shall be coming back today to tell him what is going on. Shu breathing was uneven and heavy,as the suspense was killing him.Shu looks at the clock,1:15. "They should be here by now," Shu thought. Suddenly,Shu hears the gate creaks open. Shu looks down and sees the wagon with the soldiers. he runs out of his room and hides behind the plant next to his father's office. He hears footsteps walking towards him. His breathing quickens and he begins to sweat. he hears one of the soldiers knock on the door. "Come in."Karl says. The door creaks open and they all walked in. Shu runs to the door and press his ear against it. He waits for someone to speak. It was silent. He begins to wonder if they heard him until he hears his father said,"Tell me. "
One of the soldiers gulps and says,"I'm sorry my King. We couldn't find anything. There was no trace or any evidence. Whoever, had done this had been planning this for a long time. They knew what to do. "
Karl sighs and says,"Give me more details. Start with the mansion."
Then another soldier says," The mansion was destroyed. It felt abandon and cold. If you were to walk in there,you would have thought that place have been gone for centuries. It was very revolting. There was scratches as if they had struggle. Furniture flipped over and dirty. Blood everywhere. Clothes ripped. The staff were brutally murder and cut into pieces. Some stuff were burnt. the smell was foul. My King...we were too late."
Shu eyes widen and he can feel his stomach dropped to the ground. Tears slowly comes down his eyes,imaging everything the soldier had said.
"What about the Castell family?"Karl ask. Shu hears two people step forward. They seem like they were dragging something. "The only one we found was Private Castell,My King."One replies back.
"Take the blanket off."Karl demands.
"Are you sure,My King? Private Castell i-"One soldier was cut off by Karl.
"Take off the blanket now. He is my soldier. Dead or Alive. I want to see him."Karl sneers. Shu hears the blanket came off. It was silent for a moment. Shu looks down as he realize that Vincent Castell is dead. He then begins to wonder if Amaya and her mother,Tessa,is still alive.His thoughts were cut off when he hears his father whisper,"Cover him. We shall have a proper burial for him tomorrow. "
"What about Tessa and Amaya? Any trace for them?"Karl ask.
"Sadly no my Lord. We got no lead on the culprit or the rest of the Castell family. However, we shall keep looking and get revenge for,Private Castell."one soldier says.
Karl nods his head and says,"You may leave. " The soldiers nod their heads and leave. Shu peeks and sees Vincent hand clutching onto something. His eyes were full with fear as he sees Vincent's hand pale and white covered with dried blood and cuts. He squints his eyes and sees that Vincent is holding onto Amaya Charm bracelet. the charm bracelet was silver and had her last name Castell and the quote,"I love you at your darkest" engraved into. Dried blood covering half of her bracelet.
Shu back away and starts to run towards his room,wishing that they were still alive.
The next day...
It was dark and atmosphere was heavy. Clouds covers the sky. Soldiers and friends surrounds the coffin of Vincent Castell. Shu squeezes his mother's hand and stares at the coffin as they throw dirt on top of it. the once shiny black coffin turns dull as more dirt covered it. They put the tombstone on top after they put the dirt. Everyone begin to leave one by one,slowly. Shu was the last one. He stares at the tombstone. It read,"Vincent Kai Castell April 16,1865- June 18,1889. Greatest Soldier,father,friend,and husband. I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."Shu then looks at Tessa tombstone. It read,"Tessa Aria Shimzu Castell April 20,1869-June 18,1889.Loving Mother,Wife and Friend.You will forever dream." They never found their bodies. Karl and his soldiers believe that they are dead with all the blood that covers inside the mansion. Instead of them having no burial, they decide to have the family together. Shu then looks in between Vincent's and Tessa's grave and sees Amaya's grave. His heart drops and shatters as he realize he has lost his best friend and his future queen.He stares and stares at the tombstone,wishing that it wasn't real. He reread the tombstone over and over.It read,"Amaya Fey Castell March 20,1880-June 18,1889.Stars shine at the darkest times."
After that day, everything changed for the worse. In his world,everything begin to fall.
