*The dress she's wearing is up below. Her hair is down in this chapter though. So just picture her with her hair down.
"Where you going off to mommy?" I feel Cammie tugging on the hem of my dress. Smiling, I stopped from doing my makeup and noticed she was in her pjs Zayn put her on knowing it was soon her bedtime.
"Mommy going off on a dinner tonight love."
"You look like a princess mommy." She giggled, in awe with the light blue dress I had that was floor length. Now, this was something I wouldn't put on for myself on a dinner where I'll be sitting face to face with not only my ex but the father of my child. I was a wreck inside, trying to not explode especially not in front of Camielle. The place wasn't far but time felt like it was going against me and I knew I had to be on my way.
"You're the princess in this house darling." I smiled, kneeling down to be face to face with her. Her face flushed when I mentioned her being the princess and giggled to herself while she was being distracted to the diamond necklace Zayn had given me past two Christmases ago . The dress was mysteriously sent to me, but knowing who it already was I couldn't help but feel a bit of giddiness like I was eighteen again.
"Cammie, where you'd run off to? It's time to sleep!" Zayn's voice boomed throughout the halls. Cam yelps, rushing to my side and hiding behind the dress.
Before I could even answer back, Zayn comes barging in, his hair sticking out all over and eyes as big as saucers. He looked more worried than being playful.
"Flat this huge, I swear you can lose a child in here... Have you seen Cam- Wow," Zayn stops himself mid-way through speaking, his eyes traveling up to my face and down to my body where he noticed the dress. "You look beautiful Remi." He says taken aback. Rubbing his unshaven chin, he couldn't stop himself. Of course Remi is beautiful but her being dressed this way was something so rare Zayn thought he didn't think he would see her dress this way again.
"Thank you." Remi blushes, looking down to her bare feet for Zayn not to notice he threw her off a bit.
"Mommy look beautiful." They both heard the small voice behind Remi. Zayn realizing who that was, shakes the thoughts roaming in his mind and focused behind Remi who in fact was Cammie clinging tight on her mom's dress and trying hard to suppress a smile. Zayn chuckled, but didn't want to give away his "i'm mad" to Cam, so he just stood there with arms against his chest and tapping his foot impatiently on the wooden floor.
"Oh where, oh where is little Cammie dear. I have not yet finished reading her bedtime story." He pouts. Remi couldn't help but giggle under her breath at the scenery she was in. This was something she never pictured herself when she was 18. Living in a flat alongside with her daughter and with sometimes four boys who would always crash in whenever they come visit. Or even staying nights with one who cared about us both.
And tonight was one of those nights, Cammie had to stay in with Zayn. Ashton was off touring which meant Zayn was the only option. Zayn wondered where she was going off too, especially dressed as like that. She never told him about meeting guys, she was never one to go out freely with guys on dinner date if she her first priority was the child. A lot of men have passed Remi when they find out that she's a mother, bunch of dickheads I would think of them. But that didn't bother Remi one bit. She just knew her guy is somewhere out there.
Watching Remi getting her last touches finished, he was amazed with how she was talking to Cam and applying some of her lipstick she applied on herself unto Cam. This was a million dollar view I would never give up, he thought to himself. Right when Remi was about to lean in to give a kiss to Cam, she got interrupted by her phone that lit up with a notification.
