It was Raining

I sat in my attic room, hugging my legs and staring out of the window. It was raining, well, more like pouring. The thing about the rain is: I'm in love with it. But since it's absolutely freezing,my laid back hippie mother sent me up here, refusing to let my out this time. It was giving me wanderlust just staring at the rain.
I really didn't get it, usually she'd say something like,'it's raining! Get your butt out there and dance! Embrace it!'. Now, though, she only said,"Too cold, way too cold. You'll get pneumonia. You'll die!" No mom,it is not that cold.
I stared as a boy walked towards a bench and sat down. See mom? He's not dead! I thought. He looked familiar but my mind preoccupied by fact that I was, in fact, not out there.
I got up, slightly nauseous. Nevertheless, I was not going to sit here and wait until it was back to 'sunshiney day'. Nope, no way josé.
I pulled my sleeves down as I made my way down into the kitchen. "Mom." I said. She was meditating on the table. Again.
"Mom" I said a bit louder. Her eyes popped open, "Oh! Hello sweetie, what's up?" "You should be asking what coming down.
As in the rain,I want to go out." Suddenly, I felt like a five year old throwing a tantrum. "Honey, it's freezing! Come here, look, I'll move over so you can meditate too." she pat the free space next to her. I rolled my eyes, slightly.
"That guy's not dead!" I said quickly, pointing towards the window. She got up and walked to the window. She then pressed her face against the glass. 'You're going to scare someone', I told her silently in my brain.
She turned back, looking at me. She frowned."Bring the boy in" she said,a small smile appearing on her lips. No. "Now, you're letting me out?!" "I know! We're saving a life! How's that for sucky rainy Friday night?" Now I frowned. "No. No. No.No.Mom! Do you not remember that people make me nervous? Anxiety? Remember?" "Oh" She tapped her chin,"Right. Of course I remember! But, I don't think it would hurt to get him! Just this once, go on! Any longer and he will be dead." I sighed and grabbed my coat.
It was freezing. I wrapped my arms around myself as I made my way towards him, taking deep breaths as I approached. My anxiety wasn't as bad as it used to be but it was still there, worse with new people too.
I made my way to him, but he was turned the other way. I tapped his shoulder. No response. Maybe he was dead. I took a deep breath,"Um,excuse me?!" It came out as a squeak and I had no idea how he would hear me over the pounding rain. Except, he did and turned.
I took a step back. I was not prepared for this. I wanted to crawl into a hole now. Jasper. "Shit." I muttered.
"Shit,as well." He said, awkwardly. "Um, look, so my mom wants you to come in because, quote-unquote,'it's freezing. He might die.' So...before you refuse, please come inside. I do not want to keep coming out here to talk to you." "Hmm. I wouldn't care if you had to." He replied. "Shut up. I know, okay? Just..please?" I begged. "Do I get anything in return?" He asked suggestively. "You used to not be a fuck boy." I said. "And you used to not be such a bitch." My stomach clenched. Don't let him get to you. Don't let him get to you, I told myself but he got to me anyway and there was no going back.
"Please?" I tried again. He sighed with annoyance,"Fine." He got up and followed me to the door, where my mother opened the door with a smile.

This night is going to be very long.
