Chapter 14: Emotional reck

Johnathans Pov:

An hour went by until we finally left the tree and walked to the fire. I ignored a surprised Evan and sat down with Mini, continuing our conversation about what would be an awesome super power. "What?! No way! Controlling fire would be WAAAAY cooler than water!" He said determinatly. I shook my head. "Dude if you controlled water, you can control ice too!" I said a little excited. "Dude, not only will I be able to use flames, I can make anything hot and burn!" We glared at each other for a minute. Then burst out laughing. We laughed for about a minute, looking at the guys face's. Then, slowly, we came down to a chuckle and stopped. We still smiled and snickered now and then. I ignored Evan who was now, trying to get my attention. I could see him out of the corner of my eye, waving his hands and calling my name. But I simply ignored him and stayed with my new friend. Finally, some one screamed, "Oh for Christ sakes Delirious! Evan wants your attention!" I innocently looked at Nogla. "Really? How long had he been doing...." I pointed to an exhausted arm barely waving, Evan. I smirked on the inside. "That." I finished. Nogla sighed and smiled, tussled my hair around, like you would to you're little brother. "You're too innocent." Ha. He wishes. What? What do you mean? Uh- "Innocent about what?" I asked. They just laughed as I rolled my eyes. "What, Evan." I said sighing. "Can we talk? Privetly?" Craig tensed up a bit. "No." I said bluntly and looked at him. He looked angrily at me for a second. "Ok. Then how bout I say this. We HAVE to talk. Privetly. Now." I glared at him. "How bout this. NO. I don't have to listen to a WORD you say. You're not my dad. You can't tell me what to do. You're not my LEADER Vanoss. And you will NEVER be my leader." The group got quiet as Evan shook in anger. I smirked and turned my back to them and everyone else. Before I started walking, Evan yelled my name. "Jonathan! I WILL KILL TEDDY IF YOU DONT LISTEN TO ME!!!" I gasp. They knew. I turned around staring wide-eyed at him. I back up slowly. His face went from anger to regret. "I-uh mean...who's Teddy...?" I bolted into the woods, hearing them scream my name. I noticed they were catching up and started flash-stepping. I did it until I ran into a warm tree. I fell back. Wait...trees aren't warm...? I looked up to see a giant black bear. It turned to me and stood on its hind legs and roared. Scared I started crawling backwards as it stomped back down on all fours and slowly walked towards me. I slowly got my knife. My back suddenly hit a real tree. I got up. The bear suddenly charged. I rolled to the side as he scraped the tree. I panted as I attacked. I was able to get a scratch on him before flash-stepping a few feet back. I kept flash-stepping around him, slicing him, until he finally got my pattern. I flashed-stepped and watched as he whipped around and sliced my stomach. I yelled in pain as I backed up and fell. I tried to hold my stomach as I held a tree as support. As soon as I came up, it sliced my shoulder, knocking my health bar to 5%. I fell on my back, trying to speak as blood flowed from my mouth. I watched as the bear walked in front of my view. He lifted his paw up for the final blow. 'So. This is how it ends huh? It actually hurts. As if I'm actually in pain! Just as he was about to strike, a boulder was thrown at him, knocking him down. I watched as the group fought and killed the black bear. Blood sputtered as I tried gasping for air and speak. My eyes were going hazy. I saw some one run over to me and put me in their lap. All I could hear was mumbled voices. I was about to close my eyes when suddenly, I heard a voice. "Don't close you're eyes johnathan. Please. I promise. I promise I will protect you. In and out of this game. Just don't die on me. You made a promise to Craig. Now here's my promise to you." I tried. I wanted to help, I wanted to keep my promise. I tried to open my eyes, I coughed up more blood as another figure was above me, hands over my stomach. I noticed his shirt was green. Nogla... I felt some of the pain go away and I was becoming tired. I looked to my right, two figures helping another figure over my shoulder. I noticed a monkey mask, gloves, and a colorful shirt. Lui...Luke...Brock...I looked above me and saw red... Vanoss... I looked to my left, some one holding another figure and another with their weapon out, looking at the forest. Tyler...Craig...Marcel... My eyes started closing. I noticed one figure got loud as if he screamed and he ran to me, wet substance frantically dropping on my face and neck... I saw a glint of glasses. Craig...must protect....him.... I started to fall asleep.

Don't you dare fall asleep! Please, just a couple minutes, then you'll be able to sleep.

promise me damn it! I coughed out a little blood and gasped as I could finally breath. I-I promise.

I waited for what felt like hours with Mini soothing me as best he could before finally, thank you Delirious. You can sleep now. With that I fell into a deep sleep....
