Chapter 17

Vanoss's Pov:

I can't believe I let him slip away again! I punched a whole in a nearby wall, my HP going down a few. "Dude, chill. We'll find him another way." Wildcat tried to reason. I scoffed. "We need to get him before-" "Before the Shadows get him first, I know. But we never actually tried to talk to him. We kidnapped him, beat 'em, threatened him. How do you suppose we get him on our side, if all we do is hurt him?" I stopped and thought about it. "You have a point, piggy." We walked into the living room area. "But who's gonna talk to em? Who is he gonna trust?" We both look at Mini, who was in a chair reading a book about bow's and arrows. "I think I just found the right person for the job." I smirked. "Hey, Mini," I called. Craig stood up and sped to us in a hurry. "Wassup? What happened? What's the plan?" He questioned. Me and Tyler instantly gave him puppy eyes. "We need you to find Delirious and talk to him about whats happening and make him come on our side." Instantly Mini backed up a bit. "No, no, no, no, no. I'm already in deep." I slightly nudged Tyler. "PWEASE Craig~?" He said in a sweet, pleading voice, smiling a little bigger. Craig turned around and groaned. "Fine! But this is it." I smirked.

Johnathan's P.O.V.

I sighed as I finished rinsing my face and chest and shook the rest of the blood out of Lilith's fur. I laughed and covered my face when she shook her fur. I rolled my eyes and fixed my mask. I hopped out and put on my clean shirt. I heard a thud as Lilith hopped out and started to lick her paws. The bodies had vanished a long time ago, but blood was still splattered everywhere. I sat up against a tree and smiled as Lilith laid at my side, her head in my lap. I sung lightly as rubbed her head in a calm rhythm. "We know full well there's just time, So is it wrong to dance this line? If your heart was full of love, Could you give it up?" Her breathes became slower and she yawned. "'Cause what about, what about angels? They will come, they will go, make us special oh oh oh." I watched as she slowly closed her eyes. "Don't give me up," her muscles relaxed, "Don't give...Me up." Soft snoring was finally heard. I smiled. Leave it to my giant white tigress to look like a giant kitten. I rolled my eyes. "That wouldn't be a good idea." I said amused. I turned my head to my left side to see Teddy trying to scare me. Teddy glanced at the sleeping tiger. "You're probably right. I don't feel like dying and regrow into a new body again." "Yo, you can do that?" I rose my eyebrow. He stepped back. "Don't even think about it." I chuckled and held up my hand in surrender. It was silent for a second. "Can I give you some advise?" I nodded and laid my head against the tree, looking away. Teddy sighed quietly. "Don't dwell to much in the past. Otherwise you'll skip the present and never have a future." It went silent again. I looked at where Teddy was to see was gone. I stared at the darkening clouds, thinking about what he said. 

(Time Skip)

It must've been a couple hours that passed before I started to wake up Lilith. "Hey, Lil, it's time to go back to the Hotel. The woods are dangerous in the dark." Lilith woke up and yawned. She stretched her long claws and her back, bending so I could ride on her back. I swiftly got on and lightly tapped her side. She started to trot out of the woods, making her movement quiet and fast. We finally made it out of the forest about five minutes later (cuz I have no idea what to write) and start running back to the hotel.

I sighed as we entered my room and took off my shirt, throwing it in the corner of the room. I turned around when Lilith whined. "I'll call you when I need you, I promise." Lilith bowed and disappeared in the shadows. I went into the bathroom and closed the door. I stripped down and got into the shower, getting hot at first and then turning it to freezing when I was done washing my whole body. I felt refreshed. I noticed I had a big bruise on my side. Hm, probably when I went through the window.  After a few minutes, I turned off the water and got out, wrapping a blue towel around my waist. As I exit the bathroom, a knock was heard on my door. I groaned. I walked to the door and looked through the peep hole. Mini? Don't trust him. He might try to drug you or kidnap you again. He doesn't know it's me. I felt my body change. I wouldn't be so sure. I threw my mask under the bed. I opened the door. "Is this gonna be a routine?" I asked a bit annoyed. Craig jumped around. Once he saw me his face turned pink and he looked up at the ceiling. Clearing his throat he began to speak. "So, sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if could help me with something?" I narrowed my eyes a bit. "Your're not trying to drug me are you? Cause if you are..."A knife appeared in my hand behind my back. His eyes went wide and he looked at my face. "NO!Nononono. I just wanted to talk! I don't have any weapons or drugs om me to hurt you besides my knife. And that's just for protection." He looked at me guiltily for a second. I stared at him for a second and opened the door wide enough so he could come in. "Come on, hurry. Before some one see's you." Once he walks past me my knife disappears as I quickly look down the hall and shut the door, locking it. I motioned him to follow me and pointed to a chair with a small tale next to it.Once he sat down I went to my room and put on some underwear and black skinny jeans and skipped on some shoes. I grabbed a light blue shirt and walked back out. "So. What do you want." I said bluntly as I put on my shirt. I cringe when I lift my left arm up. "W-well to  give you answers. And what happened to your side?" I slowly fixed the shirt and straighten it. "Give me answers? Answers for what." I dissed his question. He rolled his eyes and gave me a look. "Don't make me call you by your real name. I know who you are. Answers for why we've been after you." I raised a brow. My pulse went up a bit, but on the outside I was calm. "Oh? You're after me for Delirious, correct?"Mini sighed in frustration. "Don't play dumb Johnathan." Told you so. "I can see right through your disguise. I recognized the way you acted and what you say and I can still hear your thoughts. Now do you want real answers or not." I sighed as I went under the bed and grabbed my mask. My face chanced to my original face and I slipped the mask on. I sat on my bed. "Why are you guys chasing me. What's so important about me?" "Well, a long time ago, The was the Prince of Darkness and Shadows and a witch. The Witch Princess of Mako. The Witch Princess, Joanna, was sent to create a Peace Treaty between they're people. Then Princess Joanna brought the Prince, Nathaniel, two big chests of gold and jewels. When they looked into each other's eyes, people say that it was love at first sight. But the witch King, her father, didn't allow witches and 'demons' to be together. In fact, he forbid her ever seeing him again. Infuriated and hurt, Princess Joanna fled to Nathaniel's kingdom. They decided to runaway, in hopes of a new good life. So Prince Nathaniel put his twin brother in charge and he took a couple of chests of gold to help with payments and food. He told his brother, that when his his kid comes back, he is to be the rightful heir to the throne and will be placed there." I laid on my back and closed my eyes, I could see everything that he said happen in my mind. "A couple quiet years later, they had a baby. But Joanna was sick. They thought they would mix their names together. Joanna was able to live for a few months before she passed away in her sleep. Nathaniel, heartbroken and determined, took care of their baby boy. The boy was three years old and Nathaniel wasn't getting any better. Even his own son couldn't save him from depression. But while he raise the boy, he raised him as a warrior. A leader. A prince. Nathaniel, passed through the Shadows of Time and set the boy to a home. He kissed his son on is forehead and gave him a mask with a sticky note inside. He left the sleeping baby on the door step and knocked. Once he returned from the Shadows of Time, he hung himself in the same room his wife died." I found my self open my eyes with tears in them. "You never told me...You never told me the boy's name." There was a short pause. "The boy's name was Jonathan. Jonathan Denis." I took off my mask and stared at it. I still had the sticky note, its in my dresser. "No one knows what the sticky note said. No one knows who or where the little boy is. But that's why we're after you. We have to keep you away from the Shadows Castle." I frowned. "Why?" "If you go back to the castle and take over as king, your shadows will destroy the world. The world will become dark." I frowned and sat up. "What? What do you mean? Do you think I won't be a good king?!" Mini nervously laughed. "No, no. The Shadow kingdom, they told us in both the prophets and vowed to it, that when their rightful king came home, they will destroy and take over the Earth. The king can't vote against it. They said that humans were the ones to blame for taking you away." I shook my head. This was too much. "What does that have to do with you?" I asked. "We were sent by The Angels to guard you and make sure you never find out who you are. And if you do find out, then to bring you on our side. The good side. If you're wondering why we bullied you, its because we wanted you to stay scared. To stay scared enough to not figure out who you were. I didn't want to do it, John, I didn't, you've got to believe me. But I had to follow orders and do my job." I stood up and sighed. I searched his eyes and face to see a sign if he was lying. He wasn't. "And what happens if I joined your side, with the Angels..." He smiled slightly. "We will obliterate the evil in your kingdom and have it more proud and great again. So...Are you in?" I looked at Craig's face again. He looks hopeful, but... Do it. They won't hurt you anymore, just do it. Have I ever been wrong? I sighed and place my hand on his shoulder. "What else can I lose, right?" He jumped up and gave me a hug, squeezing my side. I groaned slightly when he squeezed my side. He instantly let go and glared at me. "What happened." He lifted my shirt a bit and gasped. "How the hell did you get a bruise that massive?!" I chuckled. "Funny story! I don't know. Maybe from the window?" He frowned as he inspected it a little more. We need Lui to inspect this." He looked up at me. "Can I take you to them? To Lui?" I nodded. "But, we have to bring my pet." Craig put my shirt down and nodded. I grabbed my mask and strapped it on tightly, grabbing my baby blue jacket. "Are people still looking for me in my mask by the way?" Craig shook his head. "They took the poster down saying that it wasn't worth it."  I hummed.  I grabbed my key card and opened the door, letting Mini go first and go after. Once we made it out of the hotel, Mini looked at me confused. I thought you were going to bring your pet?" I smirked. "Lilith, come and meet my friend, Mini Ladd." I said as shadows appeared behind me. Mini's eyes widened when I heard Lilith growl a little. I turned towards her, seeing as she was by my side and gently petted her, calming her nerves. "This is.. an old friend, Mini Ladd. Please don't hurt him... Unless he tries to kill me, then he's all yours." Lilith looked at Mini and then glanced at the ground. "But why?" Lilith bowed to me and glanced at Mini. "Oh!" Mini jumped and kneeled. My face turned a light pink. "Hehe okay, okay. You can get up." I nervously said, seeing the strange looks people were giving us. I gently climbed on Lilith's back and held out my hand. Mini hesitantly grabbed it and I swiftly pulled him up. "Here, I'll send you the route on where to go." A box appeared in my face and I clicked except. Instantly Lilith started to run. I felt Craig quickly grab on to my torso and held on tightly. I laughed at him as she went faster, dodging trees, logs, and holes. Let's see how well this will turn out... This, will be interesting.....

Hey guys, giggles here, I'm sorry I haven't been able to post anything for a while. A lot of stuff have been happening in my life recently that I just never had the courage to write any of my stories. I hope you guys understand! I want to thank you all for all of your support! Its been amazing how you guys have been reading this story! Like, 4.2k?! That's awesome! Anyways, What do you think will happen there? What about the heat between Vanoss and Delirious? What will Lui say about his 'bruise'? oh and 2417 words!
