"I have no idea how you talked me into this, Sting." Rogue grumbled, tugging at the sleeve of his suit.

"I told you, Rogue, this was all Yukino's idea." His best friend said. "We agreed that you needed a girlfriend, and Yukino has been real close with Kagura and thought that she was the best option for you."

"So... you two are setting me up." Rgoue replied.

Sting laughed and patted Rogue on the back. "You keep telling yourself that, Rogue. How many dates have you been on?"

Somehow, Rogue's usual silence was even quieter than normal.

"Do you even know what love is? What do you love, besides Frosch."

Again, Rogue failed to supply an answer.

"Hey, Sting! Rogue! Sorry we're late." Yukino cried, as she and Kagura, wearing dressed, approached the two boys in suits.

"Well, here's your chance to fall in love." Sting whispered right before the girls came within earshot.

"Hey, Yuki! Hey, Kagura." Sting greeted the ladies.

Rogue scanned Kagura as Sting started small-talking with the ladies. Her dress was nice, nothing too complicated, and a very nice color. Her hair was done up, something Rogue thought was nice. He examined her face. Her beauty intrigued him, fascinated him, he wanted to know more.

"Care to explain why you're staring at me?"

Rogue snapped back to reality to find Kagura glaring at him and his best friend and his girlfriend snickering.

"No reason." Rogue answered, his expression unchanging.

Kagura seemed a bit taken back by his straightforwardness, confused about how he could be like that. "W-What do you mean?"

He sighed. "Let's just go eat."

The four entered the fancy restaurant and were seated near right away after Sting pointed his reservation out.

Sting and Yukino sat on one side, Rogue and Kagura on the other. When he sat down, Rogue sat a bit too close to Kagura, slightly squishing her.

"Move over, you idiot." She complained, swatting her hand at Rogue.

Rogue grabbed her wrist and turned to stare into her eyes.

"Please. I can move on my own." He shuffled over slightly, giving her space.

The girl was frozen. His piercing gaze, his direct approach, his intense eyes...

She was very fascinated.

Soon, the four ordered drinks, each one had a different kind of wine, and they came in after four minutes. The four placed their orders, Sting wanting fettuccine with butter, loving the color, Yukino ordered a Caesar salad, Rogue was in the mood for grilled salmon, and Kagura hungered for lasagne.

While their food was being prepared, Yukino started a conversation. "So, Kagura. Do you go out like this with your friends at Mermaid Heel?"

Kagura loosed up a bit, sipping her wine. "Not often. Usually it's for celebrating a birthday or other occasion. Millianna always orders fish." She turned to Rogue. "Do you also loves cats?"

Rogue smiled at her. "Actually, I do. I'm friends with an exceed named Frosch who wears the cutest little pink frog costume! He's such a sweet little guy."

Kagura was surprised. This was the most emotion that Rogue had displayed all evening thus far.

"It's rare to see Rogue express himself like this without Frosch. You bring out his inner feelings, Kagura." Sting told them.

The girl had a light blush as she quietly yelled, as to not cause a scene, at the blonde. "You be quiet!"

Yukino giggled. "This was a good idea."

Sting and Rogue nodded. "I agree." They said.

Soon, their meals came and the three had usual table conversation, at certain times, Sting would poke fun at the two, inducing slight anger. After their food, Sting payed the bill and they all left the restaurant.

Sting had his arm around Yukino's waist. "Rogue, we're gonna go on ahead. Can you take Kagura home?"

He hesitated, but Rogue nodded and put his arm around Kagura's waist to guide her home. The two had light blushes on the way.

When they arrived at her house, Rogue withdrew his arm. "Well, here we are."

Kagura turned to look at her date. "I... I had a really... good... time tonight..." She admitted, shyly.

Rogue smiled. "Me too."

The girl twiddled her thumbs. "You know... I've never been on a date before... I've never been in love... Yukino convinced me to come by saying it was my chance to fall in love..."

Rogue grinned. "That's what Sting said to me right before this whole thing."

She was surprised. She looked into his eyes. "Well... D-Did you..."

Rogue leaned in and kissed her lips briefly.

"I did."
