"Lieutenant Benson, would you care to explain why your son is covered in bruises?" Langen asks
I can't tell him why. No one will believe me now. They will say it's just a cover story.
"I don't know" she says
"Oh, you don't know. Well shouldn't you be watching him all of the time. Shouldn't you be taking care of him?"
"I do! I do watch him and I do take care of him!"
"Sure looks like it!"
He says walking back to his desk, picking up a folder.
"Could you explain, these bruises?" He asks showing pictures of Noah's face.
"Last Saturday, he.."
"What? He what? He was messing around or miss behaving? And you what? you hit him?" He says cutting her off
"No! No I would never!"
"Then what happened on Saturday night?"
She feels her eyes fill with tears. She tries to hold them back, but she can't.
"Last Saturday.. You wouldn't believe me if I told you"
"Try me"
"A man, broke into my apartment. Noah was crying. He tried to save me, he started to pull on the mans leg. So he pistol whipped him. Knocked him out. I couldn't do anything.."
"Where were you?"
"Underneath the man" she says in barley a whisper as a tear falls down her cheek.
She clears her throat.
"Erm, when the man finished, he erm. He left. He didn't say anything. He just walked out closing the door behind him. I managed to bring Noah to, I asked him if he remembered what had happened, he said that he did. So it was our little secret"
"Why did you tell him not to say anything?"
"Because! I didn't want it all over the news that a Svu lieutenant, was raped"
