1: Truth or Dare

Black Star's POV

We'd been in Kid's manor for a while, since he threw a little party, just eight people were there: Kid (obviously, since it was his party), Liz, Patty (since they lived there.... Liz didn't particularly seem to be enjoying herself), Soul, Maka, Crona, Tsubaki, and I. We had gotten a bit bored about twenty minutes ago, so we decided to play truth or dare. So far, Tsubaki was dared to kiss me (I didn't really mind that), Liz had to give Kid a lap dance, Patty told everyone she once got pain to lick a dog (let's just not say where), Kid prank called Spirit and said he just screwed Maka, and now it was Kid's turn to spin. When Kid spinned the bottle, it landed on Maka.

"Okay Maka, truth or dare?" Kid asked when the bottle finished spinning.

"Truth." Maka said quickly. It was obvious she didn't want to have a dare like Tsubaki's or Liz's or Kid's.

"Okay." Kid said, and tapped on his chin thinking for a moment.

"Hey Kid," I said, motioning for him to come over towards me so I could whisper in his ear, which he did. "Ask her how she feels about Soul. I have the feeling she likes him and I want to see if she really does."

"Why?" He asked me, leaning away from me.

"You'll see." I told him, and he sighed, turning to Maka. Why did I want to know how she felt about Soul?

I wanted to make a bet with Soul. I knew that Soul always said that he didn't want to date Maka.So if Maka said when Kid asked her that she had feelings for Soul, I was going to make a bet that he couldn't ask her out and date her for four months without her finding out about the bet.

I wasn't trying to be cruel to Maka. I knew for a fact that no matter how much Soul said he didn't want to date Maka, that deep down the two had chemistry. I knew just from the way Soul acted around her sometimes that he liked her, no many how many times he denied it.

"Okay, do you have a crush on Soul?" Kid asked, and Maka started turning red.

"Y-yeah...." I heard her mumble, and I doubt anybody but Soul and I heard it, since we were both sitting right next to her.

Soul's eyes widened a bit, and if you looked close enough you could see a very slight blush on his face after hearing that. It wasn't something you would really notice if you weren't paying close attention, and I seemed to be the only one who was.

Later that night, Kid, Soul and I were all in the same room, since the girls decided to go to bed and we still wanted to stay up. We sat there talking for a while, and then I brought up my idea for my bet.

"Hey Soul, I want to make a bet with you." I told him.

"Okay, what do you have in mind?" Soul asked me.

"I'll bet you that you can't ask Maka out and go four months without her knowing about this bet." I told him. "Winner gets a hundred bucks.

"No way, man. You know I don't want to date Maka and I'm not going to lead her on like that!" Soul said.

"Two hundred bucks?" I said.

"I said no way! I'm not agreeing to that! Just the idea of doing that is son uncool." Soul replied.

"Yeah, Black Star. That's cruel to do that, you know how Maka feels about Soul and we shouldn't get her hopes up like that." Kid interjected.

"Besides, who knows what would happen when we break up! It could practically tear the two of us apart, and I'm not going to loose my meister over a stupid bet!" Soul said.

"Three hundred?" I said.

"Jeez you aren't going to let this go at all unless I accept, are you?" Soul said. "Whatever I'll do it but if anything bad happens between Maka and I, I'm blaming you!"

"I'm good with that." I said grinning, knowing that nothing bad would happen, at least not for a while after the bet was over. I knew for a fact nothing that bad would happen from this bet. Not as long as Maka didn't hear about it. "One rule, Kid and I can't tell Maka about the bet, even after it's over."

Soul sighed. "Why do I have the feeling your trying to do something?"
