Soul's POV

I sat in the movie theater, just wanting to go home, or at least watch a different movie.

Every one in the little group of friends we had was there. It was movie night for us again, and for some reason we opted to go to the movie theater in stead of stay home like we normally do. I guess it was because the girls wanted to come see The Space Between Us (Uggh) and it was still in theaters. Kid and Black Star looked just as miserable as I did with this movie. I stopped paying attention a while ago, after the movie playing for about a minute.

I looked around, and before I knew it, I had spaced out.

Why the hell did Black Star Kid and I let the girls see this with us? Why didn't we stay home and watch a different movie? I asked myself, so many times. After about twenty minutes of random thoughts I realized I was staring right at Maka. The second I realized that, I snapped out of it and looked away, then glanced back to see if she noticed. From the look of it, she hadn't really noticed I had been staring at her, either that or she didn't care. I noticed how her eyes were glued to the screen, but in a slightly bored way, like the movie wasn't what she expected, or she never really wanted to see it in the first place. But they hadn't left the screen as far as I could tell.

Now I was just staring at her, on purpose this time, soaking in all of the features I hadn't cared to notice before, like how clear and smooth her face looked, and just how bright her eyes were......

Wait.....

Why the hell was I thinking about that?

I turned my focus onto the movie, which quickly lost interest, and went back to my thoughts.

Maka's POV

I noticed a while ago that Soul had been staring at me, but it was such an unusual amount of time, and he didn't even react when I noticed him, so I assumed he might just be lost in thought, and looked back at the screen. I wasn't really interested in the movie anymore, since it wasn't really as good as I thought it would be. Honestly, I didn't think it would be that great in the first place, but it was the only movie I knew that was out, and some of us were getting tired of the movies we watched at the apartment. So the solution was to go to he movie theater, where the only movie half of us had actually heard of there was The Space Between Us, and the other three girls really seemed to want to watch it, and when Black Star asked what it was, he didn't even let anyone finish explaining what it was. He just said he would watch it when he heard about a boy being born on Mars. I don't know how he didn't know what the movie was about, but he looked bored now that he was watching it.

I didn't blame him. It's not that the movie wasn't good, it just wasn't the type of movie I liked to watch. I was more of a comedy movie person, and liked those cheesy comedies like Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Austin Powers. I wasn't expecting a comedy or anything, but I also wasn't expecting to be this bored with the movie. It didn't really capture my interest.

(A/N- Don't let what I just said stop you from watching The Space Between Us, because at the time I wrote this the movie wasn't even out yet and idk how good it rlly is, so if you rlly want to watch it don't take my words in this seriously.)

When we got out of the theater, the first person to say anything was, not surprisingly, Black Star.

"Dude why didn't you guys tell me that was a romantic movie?" Black Star looked at Loz, who tried to explain the movie to him earlier.

"Well, if you had LISTENED after hearing there was a boy born on Mars, maybe you would have known that!" Liz told him.

"Yeah, that's really your own fault, Black Star." Tsubaki agreed.
