Calum
P.E. was not your best class, plain and simple. Biology was easy, Algebra was a walk in the park, Chemistry... well let's just say you passed the class with the highest grade the school's had in that class in over ten years. Everything came easy to you, everything but sports. So when the class was brought outside to play soccer and assigned teams you knew it wouldn't end well, especially since you were on the team with the schools varsity soccer captain, Calum. You've never spoken to him a day in your life and you didn't want the first words he's ever said to you to be him yelling at you for not scoring a goal. When it came to playing the first "game" you made sure that the people on your team didn't pass to you, and mentally thanking yourself because your team was up by two. Calum scored most of the goals, cheering along with the other members of your team after every goal. "Hood! Pass the ball to (Y/N), she's barely seen the ball all day!" Your coach yelled, and that's when you started to panic. Eye going wide as you looked over at Calum who was jogging with the ball towards you. You shook your head, making sure he knew not to pass it to you, but he shrugged and lightly kicked the ball towards you anyways. The ball stopped at your feet and you sighed and began to jog with the ball towards the goal, Calum hot on your heels. "Over here!" He yelled as he was a bit further away. You faced him and right as you were about to kick the ball over in his direction you were quickly hit down to the ground, the loud blow of the coaches whistle the only thing you could hear. On your back, eyes closed and knees brought into your chest you tried letting out a heavy breath, only to have it practically knocked out of you and leaving you gasping for air. You tried squinting your eyes open and the only thing you saw was Calum and your coach leaning over you slightly your coach yelling at everyone to back away. "(Y/N)? (Y/N) are you okay?" Your coach said, trying to lift up your head slightly. You took another breath in inwardly thanking your coach for lifting you up and allowing air to make its way back into your lungs. Practically panting, you sat up, hunched over with your coach's hand still on your back. "She just got the wind knocked out of her, nothing to worry about. Calum bring her over to the sideline to sit down, get her some water." Calum nodded and his hands were on my shoulders, trying to help me up. When we got to the sideline and Calum got me a plastic cup of water he sat next to me. "Got knocked down pretty hard back there.. You sure you're okay?" He asked, looking at me as I sipped my water. I nodded, "Yeah yeah, i'm fine. Go back to playing the game, yeah?" I took another sip of water and looked away before he could say anything else.
Ashton
When you found out you had the lead role for the musical you were ecstatic. Not in a rude way, but who else could they have picked? You've been the lead ever since middle school and you practically knew that it wouldn't change. But this year was the year you wanted the lead the most. This year the school's musical was Mamma Mia and you gave your audition for Sophie your all. When the director of the musical told you that for the male lead they'd need you also in the audition process you were a bit scared to be honest. You didn't really know who would be the male lead this year because the regular graduated last year, so a new lead was gonna be a twist. After watching countless of people try out for the part of Sky, you and the other people that were part of the audition process were pleased to find at least one person who qualified. He was Ashton, the new kid. He came this year so no one really knew about his talent, but damn did he have a voice. Also he said he could play multiple instruments and he starred in other plays and musicals at his old school. "(Y/N) why don't you get up there and do "Lay all your love on me"? Start from the second verse up to the kiss." The director nodded at me, and I nodded back, making my way up to the stage. I watched as the director began playing the backing track and I began singing the second verse, watching Ashton seeing his eyebrows raise at the sound of my voice when I first started. "I beg you, dear!" I sang, walking towards him and smiling as he put his hands on my shoulders and began to sing, staring me in the eyes, giving me this look that almost gave me chills. "Don't go wasting your emotions!" He began moving the hair in front of my face behind me ears. "Lay all your love on me!" And with that verse, his lips were centimeters from mine and his hands were on my waist. We stayed like that for a few seconds before the music stopped and we both pulled away, looking over at the director. "So Ashton, rehearsals begin next Monday, your script is here. I hope to see you and (Y/N) together here on this stage, ready to begin by noon." He said with a smile, waving his script around before setting it down on the table and dismissing himself with a grin. This was going to be a good year.
Luke
Saying you were a friend of the school might've been a bit of a stretch. But it was true. You were friends with just about every, wether you were close friends or not, you hadn't held any petty grudges all throughout high school. That was the best decision you could ever make because every year when your classes switched you'd always have someone to talk to. But knowing and being friendly with everyone in the school wasn't going to help you pass your AP Calculus class. You were only a few weeks into the school year and you were already struggling in the class, almost failing the first quiz your teacher assigned. During class one day she pulled you outside and asked if you were interested in a tutor, and possibly a retake on that last quiz. Quickly accepting, she asked you to fill out a slip and send it down to the main office. The next day in class, your teacher pulled you out again along with another boy in your class, Luke. "So, I explained this to (Y/N) yesterday, Luke. Would you mind helping her out in the class?" She asked, looking between you and Luke as you both stood in the hallway. "That's not a problem Mrs.Somers." He smiled, looking over at you, both of you nodding in agreement. "Perfect, (Y/N) I will give you an opportunity to retake that quiz on Friday, I expect a higher grade." She finished with a smile. You exchanged numbers in the hallway quickly before making your way back into the classroom to finish up the lesson. While everyone was packing up you heard your name get called and you looked up, watching Luke walk over to you, adjusting his black backpack on his shoulder and smiling. "Hey so i'm free to tutor you any day except Tuesdays and Thursdays, I've got to baby sit those days." He laughed. I nodded, shoving my binder in my bag. "That's perfect, we can start Wednesday then, cool?" You questioned, your backpack now slung over your shoulder as you two walked towards the door. "Sounds like a plan, i'll let you know where." He smirked, waving as we departed the classroom to make it to our next classes. Pulling out your phone, you set a reminder so you wouldn't forget about your tutoring session this Wednesday.
Michael
Homecoming parties at your school were probably the best in the state. It could be argued that, depending on the host, they beat out some university parties. After winning the homecoming game everyone piled into their cars and drove to the quarterback, Matt's, house. He was known for throwing the craziest parties in the last ten years. You and Matt were good friends so getting into these parties, which weren't usually restricted to randoms, was no problem. "On behalf of the whole football team, I want to say... LET'S GET FUCKING DRUNK!" Matt yelled, across the room of people, the beer in his cup almost spilling over as he pumped his fist into the air and hopped off the coffee table he was standing on. The music began starting up and you walked over to the table where the keg and red cups were. Filling up your cup quickly you walked over to Matt where he was beginning to set up a game of beer pong on his dining room table. "Sup babe." He smiled, pulling you into him with an arm around your shoulder as he poured the beer into the cups, setting them up into the triangle. "Nothing much, good job today!" You yelled closer to his ear so he could hear you. He smiled and shot you a thumbs up before discarding the bottles and cheering, "Let's start this game!" Again, he pulled you into him, "Be my partner, we're up against Calum and his friend." He pointed at the two opposite us and I nodded, finishing the last of the beer that was already in my cup before discarding it. "Im so bad at this game." You shook you head, eyeing the cups before tossing the ball, watching it land straight into the cup. "Drink up!" You smirked at the boys in front of you, watching as Calum chugged the cup before grabbing the ping pong ball. "If I make this in you've gotta hook up with Michael over here." He yelled over the music, I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms as he took his place and threw the ball. It hit the side of one before falling into another, landing in the cup. I sighed, looking over at his friend, Michael, and grabbing the red cup, chugging down the beer and shaking my head. "Not today Clifford!" I laughed, watching Matt get ready to throw the ball.
