Calum:

You met Luke at a party, and instantly became friends with him, feeling a special connection due to a shared taste in music, and dorky sense of humor. The fact that he was a cutie was just a bonus, and although at first you considered him potential boyfriend material, your dates seemed to be quite awkward, both deciding to leave it at best friends, where you both felt comfortable.

However, through Luke, you met the other three dorks, with whom you became friends too, all except for Calum, who instantly made you feel butterflies. You couldn’t help it; you tried to ignore it, thinking it was just a silly crush like the one you had with Luke, and that eventually you’d get over it, so it really wasn’t worth acting on. Calum probably didn’t even see you that way anyway, you thought. But every time he said your name, your heart would do cartwheels in your chest, and whenever he complimented you, your cheeks would flush with joy, and you would giggle like a child.

Luke began noticing those little actions of yours, the way your eyes lit up when he walked into the room, and how whenever he was around, you smiled a little wider, and laughed a little louder. At first he felt a pang of jealousy towards his friend, but after a while he realized you never really were his, and if you were happy, he should be happy for you, so he confronted you about it.

“You like him don’t you?” He asked as he cornered you one day in the kitchen.

“I have no idea what you are talking about.” You replied nervously, avoiding his gaze.

“Oh come on y/n! You know you like Calum. I can see it. Everyone can! Why don’t you tell him?”

“No. He probably doesn’t like me anyway, so why wouldn’t I spare myself the embarrassment? I can’t just go up to him and say ‘Hey Cal, I like you’ that’s just weird.”

“Well why not? I like you too” You heard Calum say from the kitchen door, a smile on his features, as he tried to play it cool, but you could see his eyes glistening with excitement. You turned around so quickly you could have sworn you got whiplash, mouth wide open, and cheeks glowing red.

“I’ll just… Yeah…” Luke said awkwardly as he exited the room, not before giving you a thumbs up behind Calum’s back. Calum walked up to you slowly, until you were barely a couple of inches away from each other.

“You have no idea how long I have been waiting to hear you say that y/n. I never said anything because I thought you and Luke were a thing though, so yeah… I thought my chances were close to nothing” He said, gently cupping your face with his large hand.

“Well… I like you Cal…” You said in a whisper, before he brushed his lips gently against yours. You smiled into the kiss, knowing you were his, and he was yours, and you couldn’t be any happier.

Ashton:

To say that Ashton liked you was an understatement, he was head over heels with you, he worshipped you, and whenever you entered the room it was like the sun had come out in his world. He only had eyes for you, he would do anything he could just to hear you laugh, because he loved the way you covered your mouth with your hand when you laughed, and your eyes shone a little brighter, and he loved knowing he was the reason for it.

Everyone knew he liked you, everyone but you, the boys saw the way his eyes followed you when you walked away, the way he would grin like a fool when someone mentioned your name, or how he would get overly excited when someone told him you would be around.

It hurt everyone to know how much Ashton cared for you, but just couldn’t let you know, because one of the first things you had told him when you met, was how the last thing you wanted was a relationship, how you were done with men forever, done with being hurt, done with being lied to. He wanted to change all that, he wanted to change your mind. He wanted to be able to hold you for longer than usual; he wanted to be able to fall asleep with your head on his chest and his arms around you.
