*Aleks's POV*
Somehow Miranda and I had gotten back to the hotel room after last night... or at least I had gotten back. I couldn't see her next to me, nor in the room at all. Even Dan, James, and Sylvia were missing.
Panicking slightly, I got out of bed, and strode around the room.
The bathroom door was open, and the lights were off. I opened the door, and called, "Miranda? James? Dan?" into the hallway. No answer, only giggles that seemed to come from the room. Which was odd because I couldn't see anyone...
I closed the door, and walked over to the nightstand. The clock read, "7:15am." We had our flight at 8, so they didn't leave me. It didn't make sense...
I felt a pair of arms wrap around my neck, and giggling followed it. Laughing, I turned around and held the person by the waist.
"JAMES?!"
Obviously it wasn't who I thought.
He fell on the floor laughing, and Miranda walked out of the bathroom, laughing her ass off. Sylvia and Dan came inside from the terrace, laughing too.
I was blushing hardcore.
I frowned as Miranda walked over to me, who collapsed on my chest, still laughing. She looked at my expression and laughed. "What's wrong, Aleks? Didn't like that little joke we planned?" Miranda started laughing again, and I practically growled. That made her laugh more.
Lightning fast, I had grabbed her wrists and pinned her on the bed. She gasped, her expression changed to one of shock.
I grinned evily. She looked so vulnerable...
I could still hear the others laughing, but I felt my world slow down as I stared into Miranda's eyes. She smiled and pecked me on the lips.
I smiled back, and pulled away as Dan said, "Ok! Let's all get packed and then it's off to Denver!"
"Yay!" Miranda cheered.
I grinned. "I can't wait to get away from those cosplaying freaks," I said, grabbing my suitcase.
Miranda and Sylvia punched me on the arm. I laughed along with James. Even Dan chuckled a bit.
We had packed our stuff, and were on our way to the airport. Miranda was bouncing in her seat, excited about who-knows-what. We were just going to beautiful Denver with the awesome Creature house and the other hilarious Creatures that she's never met but loves on YouTube.
...
Oh... now I get it...
Our flight wasn't too long at all, about 2 hours. I slept almost all of the way, because Miranda kept waking me up.
"Yo, dude..." I said sleepily to Miranda, who was bouncing around our seats, looking out the window, talking excitedly to Sylvia, and such.
She looked at me, and I cupped her cheeks to hold her still. "You are not a squirrel hyped up on coffee. Calm the fuck down..."
Miranda giggled, and lay her head in my lap, like the night before in the garden.
I will never forget how she looked in the moonlight, how the breeze swept her hair off her face. How the water droplets that were scattered on the petals of the flowers reflected her beauty, how the-
"Hey, Aleks?"
I looked down at Miranda, who was looking up at the ceiling. "Yes?"
"What if the guys don't like me?"
