Austin's POV

*ring ring ring* i grunted and turned over to grab my phone. I frowned, why is Sofia calling me at 930? She usually didn't get up until like 11.

"heyyyy" I said lazily into the phone.

"hi my name is nev and I have a show on MTV called catfish!" she responded, making both of us laugh. We'd spent all day yesterday watching the catfish marathon on MTV and I couldn't get over the fact that nev literally called and said he was from a tv show and people automatically believed him! Like I would totally be skeptical!

"what's up this fine morning?" I ask, resuming conversation.

"sorry I know it's early but I need to go running and I usually go with eva but she doesn't feel good so can you please, please come with me?!"

"but you're already fit!" I argue into the phone, making her chuckle.

"I'm the opposite of fit! I'm ... Like...unfit!"

"okaaay I'll come, I'll meet you at your house in 10"

"yay! Thanks Austin!" she squeals.

I really didn't want to go but I knew how much it meant to Sofia to have a work-out partner. She had this thing called thyroid disease which basically meant her metabolism was extremely slow and she had to eat healthy. If she went more than a few days without exercising, she would rapidly gain weight. I felt really bad for her, she told me about how much she struggled with it when she was younger, so I had to help her workout and support her.

After I get dressed in white basket ball shorts and a red under armor, I head out to Sofia's. I text her that I'm here and I see her running down the steps. She was wearing black Nike shorts, hot pink Nike sneakers, and pink tshirt that read "stand up to cancer". Her brown hair was in a high ponytail that swayed behind her when she walked. She was adorable.

"Ready!?" She asks, as i hop out of my car.

"not really" I chuckle.

"it's ok, I'm kinda slow and I'll admit, running sucks but once you're done, you feel better."

I sigh dramatically "fiiiiiine, let's go!"

we start running side by side down the boardwalk, head phones in both our ears. Surprisingly, we went at pretty much the same pace the whole time. Every so often, I'd look over at Sofia and see her mouthing words to her music and violently bopping her head from side to side to the beat. She was so cute like that. She did silly little things that could make anyone smile.

After running about two miles, she tugged her head phones out of her ears and started walking, putting her hands on her hips. "you ok?" I ask, mimicking her actions.

"yeah.... Just sweaty" she laughs, wiping the sweat off her face on the bottom of her shirt. we walk for a little then run back to her place. We approach her door and she sees her reflection in the glass. "oh gosh, I'm so yucky!"

"well we just ran like 4 miles, babe!"

"I know but still! I'm gonna shower!"

"can we shower together?" I smirk, winking.
