After being explained how to fry an egg, I tried it, with no success.  Oddly enough, about 7 egg-fry-tries later, I did it.  I ate it with vigor, and gave Will some, who told me it was undercooked, and lacked taste, so I shoved him into the couch, where Rue’s yappy dog Fido –TOTALLY UNIQUE-  was napping, and Will needed to pry his fingers out of Fido’s jaw.

I felt bad for a moment, and then saw at how tasty Will’s hand looked, and got over it.

Once the prying had been accomplished, Will told us his mom wasn’t home, and he didn’t have a key, so we said he could crash here with us.  School was tomorrow, anyway, and we called his house and left a message to say we were all going to walk together.

While Will and I are throwing popcorn at the screen where Pauly D, from Jersey Shore was getting drunk and talking about getting laid or something, Rue is talking into the phone –well, shouting is more correct- while petting Fido.

“-I told you Lottie!  Come over, I’m having a small pool party tonight!”

I hear chuckling over the phone, and then Rue sighs. “What’s the occasion?  Well,” She glances at me. “Andrea finally got a job!”

I hear a gasp over the phone, and make a promise to beat up Sandy next time I see her, which will probably be in 30 minutes.

Charlotte Farrell is a year older than us, and one of our best friends.  She’s always happy and loves anything that walks on four legs.  She’s also the older cousin of one of our other friends, Cameron.

Rue has to yell again over Charlotte.  She’s so loud!  “- Sure!  Bring Cameron!”

She gives me a warning glance as to say, ‘please please don’t do what I think you’re going to do!’, but I do it anyway.

Springing up onto the couch, launching the popcorn into a disgruntled Will’s lap, I hoot with glee.

Cameron, if you haven’t guessed, is my long-time crush.  I’ve been a good friend with him, since grade school.  He always helped me in math and science, and I helped him in, well, everything else.

Rue raises her eyebrows at me, and then mutters something under her breath.

“Hmm?”  She listens to Charlotte, her face becoming more and more aggravated. “No, no, that was my…” she glances around. “My cat.”

Will and I burst into laughter, rolling on the carpet, while Fido sort of runs around the couch, deciding on which spot to pee on, or something.

She yells yes into the phone numerous times, before saying, “Come in 10, see you, bye!”

She hangs up and forcibly throws the phone directly at Will and I.  Since I’m so totally ninja, I roll to the side, and watch as the cordless phone drives directly into Will’s stomach, winding him.

He lets out an exhale of air, that sounds like either someone is letting out a noiseless fart, of the noise a towel makes when it burns to a crisp.  Don’t ask.

Rue sits down onto her velvet couch, and I scramble beside her, breathing heavily.  “So?” I say expectantly.  She looks at me, puzzled for a moment, apparently not understanding.

I whack my hand against my forehead- her signature move.

“So?  What about Cameron?”  I demand, sitting up straighter on the couch.

She sighs and absentmindedly prods Will’s body with her foot.  “Well,” she begins.  “you’re not going to like this Ands…”

I immediately assume the worst.  “Girlfriend?!”  I shout, rather too loudly, as Fido decided this would be the time to let it go, an inch away from my foot.
