They were coming!!
Okay. I can do one of two things. One, I can run back to my apartment, but I'll be left with the mystery of who was playing that beautiful familiar music. Familiar. It was so familiar....
Two, I could just wait.
Before I could even pick a choice, the door creeked open and a man came out.
"Hey Taylor!" Ed smiled at me.
THAT'S why the music sounded so familiar... It WAS Ed.
*Flashback*
"Sing to me." I asked Ed. Well, more demanded.
"Fine, fine." Ed said and picked up his guitar.
I layed across his chest and he put the guitar in front of us, wrapping his arms around me and putting his fingers on the guitar.
"Which song?"
"Surprise me." I smiled, even though he couldn't see it.
I found your hairband on my bedroom floor
The only evidence that you've been here before-
*End of flashback*
"Hey Ed. I-I didn't know you lived here..."
"Yeah, I'm taking a break."
"How long?" Okay, maybe I was snooping. MAYBE I wanted to see if he'd be around longer.
Maybe not.
"One year. I haven't been writing any good music, so what better place for inspiration than here?"
I shook my head yeah.
London is a good place for that kinda stuff.
"Have you been singing or playing much?" Ed asked.
Again, I shook my head no. "After I got...fired? Yeah, I didn't really see the point anymore, so I went to school for bakery and I just work at a local bakery shop."
"Why not make your own pastery bussiness?" Ed's eyebrows sinched together in wonder.
He always used to do that...
"I do have ALOT of left over money, but I don't see the point in making a whole bussiness when I can help out around here. I don't really need the money..."
And its true, because when money sits in the bank, there's this little thing called interest.
"You always help, don't you?" Ed smiled.
Returning it, I said "Eh. Kinda."
Then we both didn't talk. We just kinda...stood there...
I looked around a bit, even though I know this place upside and down.
"Hey...do you um...you wanna come in?"
"It is like 4 am..."
"Oh yeah...nevermind." Ed looked down at his feet.
Smiling I said, "Well, I'll see you later?"
"Definitely. If you want you can come over and have a cuppa."
"When did you move in?" I asked him, pointing towards the door frame of his new abode.
"Just today."
"And you already have your coffee maker set up?" I laughed.
"You always need a cup."
We both laughed and said goodbye.
I watched as he turned to his door, and I was at mine.
Smiling, he threw up a hand. I did the same and went into my house, then turning around to lock it.
Just thinking about what happened, I layed down and could finally sleep.
