Selfish *Markson AU*

Prologue

"I fucking warned you Mark!"  Jackson tightens the chains impossibly tighter around Mark's wrists as he whimpers and cries out in pain.

   "J-Jackson, I didn't do anything w-wrong!" Mark tries to talk with Jackson, but is immediately silenced by sound of a hard smack landing on his cheek. It makes the right side of his face sting and his eyes fill with even more tears.

  "I told you to stay away from him!" Jackson roughly grabs Mark's hair and forces him to look in his eyes.

  "Do you like hurting me Mark?! Was that your plan all along??" Jackson punches Mark this time and the chains shake from the impact. Mark howls in pain as his face feels like it's on fire. He takes deep breathes until he has enough courage to try and talk to Jackson again.

  "Jackson please listen to me! There's nothing going on between Jinyoung and I! He's with Jaebum and I am with you. I love you so much please stop!" Mark quickly shuts his eyes and waits for the next blow, but it doesn't  come. Instead he hears the sound of jackson's knees hitting the floor of their walk-in closet. He places his head in his hands and Mark wants to reach out and comfort him despite what had happened moments before. The chains keep Mark from being able to reach the boy in front of him, who put him in the chains to begin with. Jackson slowly raises his head and looks up to  see what looks like an angel, bleeding and chained to the wall.

  How could someone ever hurt someone like Mark? How could I?

Jackson immediately stands up to unchain Mark and as soon as the chains release him, he falls into Jackson's arms. Jackson expects Mark to push him away and leave, but instead Mark wraps his arms around him in a tight hug. Mark knows he should run and never come back, but he always feels the safest in Jackson's arms, even when he is the one causing all the pain. Jackson wraps his arms around Mark and holds him lightly as if Mark would shatter in any second.

You know he won't. You have put him through worse. You don't deserve him.

  Jackson knows he doesn't deserve someone as precious as Mark but he can never let go of him. Even the thought of Mark leaving makes him nearly go insane. Like what happened today. He lets go of Mark to inspect the damage. A split cheek and a bruised eye, not the worst he has done, but still bad. He kisses the injuries gently and pulls Mark back into his chest where he belongs. Mark doesn't push him away, he pulls him closer.
