Minzy

This is it I guess. It's been three years since I last came here, and my departure wasn't really that good as far as I could remember...

Me and Mark just arrived here in South Korea yesterday from France, after three long years. I finally came back. That's why I decided to meet Jackson here in Busan I wanted to surprise him. Since we didn't have any contact since my parent forbid it.

I'm feeling excited yet anxious at the same time. A lot can change in those three years, what if he found someone else already? I kept muttering things as I walk over to their house. I miss this neighborhood too. The air. The surroundings. Everything here is full of memories of me and Jackson.

After walking a few blocks from the bus stop, I finally arrived at Jackson's house. I suddenly feel nervous, I  press the doorbell with trembling hands as I tighten my grip on the box I'm holding which is full of fresh rice cakes..

A few moments later, the door opened and Jackson's mom greeted me.

"Hello auntie!" I greeted as I bow and hug her, I miss her so much

She greeted me back, and smiled a little. Why? I thought

"Come in Minzy-ah, it's been a while..." we took a sit at the living room as I gave her the box of rice cakes and she went to the kitchen to get us some tea.

I then remember that she wasn't aware of what happened in Seoul, specially about me and Mark. I sigh.

"So Minzy, what brought you here?" she smiled at me but here eyes seems puffy, I feel something's going on but I shrug it off

"Oh, I uhh wanted to see Jackson, since he's members told me that his here in Busan." I smile back at her and her expression changed into a sad one, I was confused she's acting weird.

"Why? Is something wrong auntie?"

"Minzy-ah, I need to tell you something.." she spoke in a serious tone, I felt nervous all over again

I just nod in response

"Jackson.." she stops as tears fell from her eyes "his dad pass away a few months ago due to an accident.." I gasp upon hearing her sob "Jackson was depressed and drove away, unfortunately it was pouring hard that day.. I tried to stop him but he was in so much pain but..." she could't finish as she kept on crying, I went beside her and hug her as my heart broke in pieces.. "where's Jackson?" I ask her though my voice was shaking

"Jackson.." she spoke and before she could even finish her sentence I stood up and ran away. I suddenly felt scared of what she might say...

I heard her call out but I ignore her.

I ran as fast as I could, not knowing where my feet is taking me. But I don't care anymore, all I can think about is Jackson. He can't be dead... I didn't fulfill my promise yet.. He can't be... I sob as I ran faster until I went to a halt as I noticed the ground turned green, grasses... I slowly raised my head and tried to wipe the tears away.

And saw an empty park that me and Jackson usually went to when we were kids. My eyes suddenly settle to a tree where Jackson and I used to climb. Unconsciously, my feet draggd me towards the tree itself. I stare at it and notice the leaves falling from its branches. It's been really awhile. I felt my cheeks dampen with tears.

"Jackson, where are you. I miss you.." I suddenly whisper as I fall onto my knees crying

I felt someone behind me, I slowly turn to see who it was and my heart skipped a beat as I realized who it was. Jackson.
