Mark and Minzy went inside together while Minzy's holding unto Mark's arm, while walking on the red carpet both force themselves to smile for the cameras while security took care of the press who kept on getting closer to the idols.
As they went inside, they immediately saw their paretns waiting for them beside the mini stage set at the far center of the venue. The place was decorated with ocean blue linings and and white roses. Everything seems bright and lively. There also plenty of people mostly businessman and woman. All of them are gathered in this special occasion. As the two biggest an prestige companies in Seoul will now officially merge together.
As the paarty started an hour ago, now is the time to announce the engagement of their sole daughter and son. Mrs. Gong went up on stage to announce this special announcement to the other companies.
"Good evening everyone, it's nice to see all of you here in this very occasion and also to witness the merging of the Tuan Companies & Gong Enterprises into one. And also I'll have another special announcement for this evening. Since we'll be merging both our companies we decided long time ago that our sole daughter Gong Minji the heiress of Gong Enterprises will be marrying the sole son and heirs of Tuan Companies Mark Tuan and their marriage should be within thisq month. Thank you." after she announces everyone applaud for the news but only Mark and Minzy seems to be sad about it.
Minzy's POV
After I excused myself to the bathroom. I went inside a cubicle and cried silently. How I wish all of this was just a dream and that I'll wake up tomorrow with Jackson beside me. But I stopped crying when I heard two girls came in talking about.. me.
"Gosh, I thought Minzy was innocent and all but it just shows that she really wants to marry our Mark. Ugh, she's a lucky bitch to have a prestigious company that Mark's parents can hold on."
"And sis, did you saw how she hold unto Mark's arm as they enter a while ago. Like oh my god it's like she's already claiming Mark to be her's. What a naughty slut she is."
"Your right.."
After hearing them, I walk outside the cubicle and pretend I didn't hear nothing, but I guess the two bitches was surprise to see me. So I turn to them
"Don't worry I didn't hear anything." I smiled sweetly to them as they scurry and left nervously
I look at the mirror. And fix myself before leaving.
I was just standing near the buffet table holding a glass of wine whike staring at the people dancing with their partners on the dancefloor, I sigh. How I wish Jackson is here with me so I could dance happily dance like them when Mark approach me.
"What took you so long? I was worried." he say
"I had stomachache." I lie "Oh, are you feeling okay now?" he ask "Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry, Mark I think you're father wants to talk to you.." I told him while point at Mr. Tuan who's looking at our direction "I'll be right back. Stay here." I just nod, when I suddenly felt dizziness. Then a guy with a blonde hair approach me with a mask on. Oh yeah I forgot, this ball is a masquerade themed party.
"Can I ask you for a dance?" he ask, but somehow I felt familiarity towards him so I just nod and tak pe his hand we we're dancing and twirling when the music change into a slow tempo and intimate one causing us to slow down and just sway with the rythm me holding his shoulders while his hand wrapped around my waist, then again I felt something strange towards him like I've known him for too long.
"Can you take off your mask?" I suddenly ask
"I can't.." he say smirking, that smirk, it's like I saw it somewhere
