Chapter Eight

Standing firmly at Rogue's side, his body wrapped in bandages, along with every other contestant. Besides Sting. Each guild now standing around a large fountain. The King standing on the edge of the fountain with guards around him. My eyes narrowing at his speech and plea for help.

"Dragons...?" I glance towards Rogue. He nods faintly. "That's what he said." He replies lightly. Our hands clasped together. "Revelli! Its time for abit of magic. No?" I nod in Violet's direction, grinning faintly. Unclasping my hand from Rogue's, I step forward.

"Well, My magic will come in handy. Eh?" I grin towards Violet, taking off into a quick sprint straight towards the fountain. "VIOLET!" I hear her 'yup' faintly, the guards surrounding the King staring at me with wide eyes. With my cloak being gripped by small paws, my feet leave the ground.

Violet flying me up and landing me on the top of the fountain. My balance secured. "Revelli! What are you doing?!" I glance down towards Sting, Violet dropping back down towards Frosch.

"Don't worry, Sting, I'll-..." My sentence is broken by a loud roar. The ground shaking as my body shifts on the thin surface, extending my arms outwards to keep my balance. Jerking my head towards the direction of the castle. I widen my eyes at the large dragon now standing in front of it.

The dragon larger than I ever thought. "There's a Dragon by the castle!" I yell out towards the wizards. "Listen up everyone! Each guild stay together and protect Crocus! GO!!" A short man spoke, I think he's Fairytail's master.

Nodding my head, each group splitting up. "Come'on Revelli!" I shake my head towards Sting. "I'll catch up with you! Watch Violet!" He gives me a reluctant nod, Rogue's eyes locking with my own. "Don't worry Rogue... I'll be safe." Picking up Frosch with Violet hovering at his side, they follow quickly after Sting, Orga, Rufus and the other members of Sabertooth. My eyes scanning multiple dragons that now are destroying the city.

"Lythious!" Pressing my left foot firmly on the edge of the fountain's platform, I leap off. My body soon making contact with a firm saddle. Lythious flying quickly over the shops and houses in the direction Sabertooth went. A dragon ahead, "They are ahead, Revelli." Nodding, I quickly strapped my legs down.

"Lightning, then wrap your talons into the scales. Stay Strong, Lythious." With a nod in approval, his beak opens up, the crackling along with yellow volts of lightning hovers around it surrounding the lightning is grey mist giving off a thunder.

The distance between us decreasing each second from his speed, the bolt of lightning releasing and aiming straight forward, striking the Dragon's chest, yet it does nothing but vanishing. With a large cry, Lythious's talons come into contact with the scales, gripping as firmly as he can. Barely holding on, my hands stay firmly gripped on the saddle. "Revelli!" I glance over my shoulder, seeing Violet, Rogue and the rest of Sabertooth.

With a harsh shake, I sense Lythious's talons beginning to loose grip, slipping slightly down. The scales not allowing the talons to dig in too deep. "Foolish Human!" The voice is deep and horror filled, nothing like Rogue ever told me about Skiadrum. A large, clawed paw raising and aiming straight towards us. My eyes widening.

"Look out!" I tighten my hold as Lythious's wings expand as he leaps to the right. His claws gripping back into the scales, but fumbling about and trying to take grip.

"Keep trying Lythious!" I growl out, his body releasing a firm shock of lightning, yet it still does nothing. I curl my toes. "Some help guys!?" Soon a combination of ice and black lightning attacking the chest, only metres from myself and Lythious.

The shaking intensifies, the talons scrapping down the scales. "I can't hold up for longer, Revelli." Lythious grunts faintly. With a firm flap of Lythious's wings, he pushes off the scales, hovering above my comrades. "That's your magic!?" I roll my eyes. "NOT THE TIME STING." I glare. Violet hovering at my side, the dragon just seems more irritated.
