"Ressia, keep soaring, and try dying down your flames to stay hidden! Lythious, electric charge! Aim for Ressia!" I command, yelling to the two in the air as a bead of sweat trickles down my forehead and slides along my eyebrow. Three hours of training, constantly changing between my animals. Violet panting on the ground at my side, demonic form switched off and polearm chucked aside, chest heaving and a satisfied grin on her face.
She wanted to be the target, and held up her own pretty well when flying, but against Colletto and any of my animals that are grounded, she kept losing focus, thinking which one to protect and defence again, teeth or claws, in the end, I completely stopped her from battling and told her to practice against another guild member instead of a motherly wolf who is sleep deprived and wanting to just relax outside of my own world.
Some members of Sabertooth already having stopped training, but I was late, so I'm making up for it.
The lightning filled clouds swirling deep grey and black above can't completely hide Ressia's burning flames, the embers bending and changing shapes as large blasts of lightning fires out from clouds above, slicing the air like a knife before dissipating after a failed hit.
"Keep it up! A few more minutes!" I call out, clapping my hand as Ressia's form fires out from the cloud, small embers falling to the ground like burning rain. "Ressia, immerse yourself! Fire back and Lythious, Clash!" Ressia erupts in even more flames, circulating her before clashing head on with Lythious. "What do you think Violet?" I hum softly, keeping my eyes on the sky.
"They have gotten a lot stronger since the Tartarus incident. Not surprised though, most of us have." She replies softly her gaze still on the sky. "Not only has our magic strengthened, so has the bond between you and Rogue. Mhm?" I catch her smirk in the corner of my eyes.
"Pfft..."
"Any word from Na'larite?"
"Well..." I grumble, lowering my gaze towards Violet whose standing and tilting her head in confusion, and worry. "She mentioned something a few days before we left Sabertooth for here..." She picks up her polearm, nodding at me to continue. "And, she said something big is going to happen, Something is coming, and preparing now is important."
"What does that mean?"
"No clue, But keep this between us, alright? I'll try coax more out of her before I speak of it." She nods.
Lythious and Ressia continue to slam heads together, flames and lightning coaxing together into orbs that explode around them. Interesting...
"Think I can create a unison raid between them both-..." A slight yelp echoes out my throat as strong arms wind around my waist, lifting me up and twirling me around. A laugh rippling from my throat as my hands tighten on his that are secured around my stomach.
"One day, I'm going to accidentally hit you for scaring me!" I grumble as he sets me down, turning around as I cross my arms, but my lips twinge into a grin, leaning up and ruffling his hair.
"You won't." He smirks in return. "We're all finishing now, Sting and all are waiting at the exit." Rogue's gaze raises to the sky.
"Okay, enough for now!" I call out, turning and lowering my hand as they halt mid-head-smash. Their gazes turn to me as the excess flames and clouds of thunder and lightning slowly dissipate. Both slowly lowering to the ground and once in a reasonable distance, Ressia stops and moves back almost scared while Lythious lands on the ground. "Good work, you may both return." They vanish in a poof of shimmering smoke.
