You embraced yourself as tight as you could as you reminisce the memories you once had with him.

Tears did not stop to fall from your eyes and you continued sobbing. It might sound cliché but loving Kaneki Ken was one of the best things that happened to your fucked up life.

The quiet room did not help at all. You could almost hear the voices speaking from your past and to be honest, it's completely driving you insane.

You remembered the day you met him. Bumping into him in your very first day in college. You automatically fell for him that day. Sounds stupid but it was honestly the best feeling ever.

He never left your mind. You constantly see each other everyday in the library, and that wasn't a big help. Instead, it pushed you closer to him and you fell harder than you ever thought you would.

I'm lonely.

And that incident happened. He went missing for days and you grew worried. You decided to visit him in his home and found the whole place a big mess. But unfortunately, he wasn't there.

And then again, fate started playing with you.

You found him on the streets, and he looked odd. You approached him and was shocked to see him pale and his mouth was watering with saliva. He was murmuring things that you could hardly understand.

But you immediately knew what was happening.

You were too shocked to follow him and so you were left alone on the streets, with the idea slowly processing in your mind; he is a ghoul.

It's not that you're scared of him or anything because you were actually one, yourself. You are one of those monsters who devour human flesh to satisfy their hunger.

I was scared.

And the thought of the sweet and innocent Ken eating humans immediately broke your heart.

No, I wasn't scared of him. I was scared for him.

"[Name-chan]?" You snapped out of your trance, you looked up and your eyes met those of grey.

He smiled, "Are you alright?"

You stared at his smiling face and you couldn't help but feel more depressed.

And right now, you're more scared for him because you know that soon, his innocence and humanity will once again slip away from his grasp.
