Feeling the heat of the sunlight, my eyes opened to find out that it's already morning. My head is throbbing to the point that I can't take it. I realized I was fully dressed and beside me is a note from Erin.
'Went back to my room when you fell asleep. I took the liberty of dressing you up. I will come again tonight, if you know what I mean ;)'
What a pervert, I thought. But the idea excites me.
A knock on the door startled me. It was Auntie. "Ohayou. It's already 10 in the morning. Are you coming down for breakfast?" (Ohayou = Good Morning [Informal])
The pain inside my head is getting worse as the minutes pass by. Auntie noticed this and gently touched her palm on my forehead.
"You have a slight fever. I will have someone prepare a breakfast for you in bed. You stay here and rest," she said with her concerned eyes fixed onto mine.
I can feel my eyes water and my throat hurting. Telling her that I am fine and I will be down in a minute, I got up and went to the bathroom. Auntie hesitantly agreed and said that I should rest afterwards and take medicine.
She was right. I looked quite awful when I saw my reflection in the mirror. There were noticeable dark circles below my eyes that I did not know I had before.
A few minutes later, Erin came to see how I was doing. He apologised and thought that it might have been his fault why I am sick at the moment.
"I had a great time and it's definitely going to the list of my favorite nights. You did not do anything wrong."
"You must have been so exposed last night and it would be the probable cause why you're sick," he explained trying to convince me that it IS his fault.
Not arguing any further, I changed to my casual clothes. Erin was still here and doesn't seem to mind that I am changing in front of him. I was surprised that I didn't mind either, but considering what happened last night, there's nothing to hide anymore.
"By the way, I have a question, Liz. Why are you not a virgin?"
I was shocked to hear this question from him. Oh no, I forgot about that one tiny detail.
"Uhm, well. You see, I had a boyfriend a few years ago and we did it. But that was only once."
His face had a trace of disappointment as I explained it to him. "I was hoping to actually be your first. But some lucky bastard already go to you already."
I didn't know what else to day. "I have a question for you too. Why have you been rejecting me these past few days into doing it?"
It was a few seconds later when he finally answered. "You know how I was before, right? I screwed all the girls I meet. I never cared about who I go out with. When I touch you, all those things come back to me and I don't want you to be tainted by how I was. I also did not wish to make you feel like you are just like all the other girls I've gone out with."
Mia suddenly came in the room, disturbing the serious atmosphere. "Liz! Your aunt told me that you were sick. Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, Mia. You don't have to get hysterical."
"But that means you won't be able to come with us later at the temple visit." Mia made a sad looking face that almost made me laugh.
"I'll go. I can take it. It's just a slight fever."
She beamed. Erin left us alone for a while.
"Hey, I could hear you from next door. Something good happened to you two last night. I know it," she whispered.
