//authors note// sorry if this is shit or just not that good, I know how the story is going but I wasn't sure about this so..

The new year just started and then it was gone in a blink of an eye.
It's their second year of middle school and Brandon pulled himself together over summer. It wasn't a new sight to see when Brandon wouldn't leave Skyler's side especially after all that happened, although no one besides them really knew what happened. Skyler worked hard to regain his trust with Brandon, he never really lost it in the first place. Trinity actually broke up with Skyler after not even a month together...no surprise as she's high maintenance, but they're still friends.

Things don't get easier how ever, yes they love each other but they can't admit it, yes they both know they love one another it just seems like a whole new step to take and a whole new world of judgment. It'll take time, but for now they act like they've said a thousand words describing their love, they grow closer and closer, a moment there part doesn't exist. They were lucky enough to get in the same class and Brandon goes to Skyler's house everyday.

Through that 2nd year of middle school, Brandon of course got jealous as Trevor is still in his life just fucking around Skyler as he pleases. It's the same with Trinity, they don't know boundaries and Brandon has laid some out around Skyler. Brandon and Skyler both know they can't do much if they want to keep the secret a secret. Brandon still wishes for one day where Skyler would just be his and know else could just come in and out of his life if they wanted.
The 2nd year is rough but they get through it and before they know it, it's summer again.

Just as they were getting closer by there 3rd year of middle school it was like they were just one person instead of two separate ones. You would never see one without the other, you would see them with other friends and groups but they were always together. Their love was escalating and they ignored it, trying so hard to hide it...no one could know of all the sweet things that were never said, all the hugs that never saw the light of day, the small kisses they would share in the shadows. They both knew it was all to be kept a secret, everything they have been through together..they shared minds, could finish each other's sentences, just knew what the other was thinking and all around knew them.

As it was, being gay was now somewhat accepted, but they're so young and no one knew what would've happened if they had let people find out. They wanted to just let it go, because hiding it was hard..they could never manage to say those 3 words they were both just dying to hear from the other.

They went through the 3rd year as usual, but there will always be trouble in middle school. It's like they weren't allowed to be happy as "Just friends" at school. Brandon really wanted Skyler to just let go of Trinity as a friend...and Trevor.

Trevor unfortunately knew of this because he was just Skyler's shadow. Try as he might, he could not get Skyler by himself, Brandon and him were inseparable. Brandon liked how close they had become, but he wanted to be closer, so much closer.

It was new years again, Brandon didn't care anymore, he kissed Skyler the second it hit 12. It was long and meaningful, Brandon taking his time as he has lost so much of it waiting for this moment. He declared them as dating that night and Skyler was absolutely ok with it being as impatient as Brandon. They wanted to wait till Highschool before anything like this and well this being 2016 now, only a couple more months till summer and then Freshmans.
