Aaradhya's Pov.
After packing my stuff, I settled on my bed for the last time. I had discussed about the job with the human resource lady and she had asked me to join the very next day after my arrival.
I'll be boarding my flight tomorrow morning and I had already texted Riddhant, my flight details.
It was odd that I had hardly seen him in these five days.
He always replied to my messages earlier but this time he didn't and I still wish him to be present at the airport. I hope he does. What if he doesn't come?
Won't he meet his fiancée before I depart?
I blushed at my own mention of being his fiancée.
With his thoughts still occupying my mind, I drifted into a deep slumber.Next Morning.
I woke up before the required time. I prayed and entered my bathroom. I took a nice long shower and changed into my dark blue sleeveless top and black jeans. I wore my black jacket on it. I tied my hair into a high ponytail and exited my room with all my luggage.
Maa, Dad and Aditi were waiting for me at the breakfast table. We all wanted to have our last meal together.
I'll obviously miss Maa's cooked food. Dad's stern look and Adi's chirps and humour on the table
We ate our breakfast as usual.
Dad loaded my luggage in the car and we left for the airport.
Mumbai is not far away from Pune but still Dad persisted me to travel by flight as I'll reach within thirty minutes. It's odd since it's just a waste of money to travel such small trip but I eventually agreed. We got down at the airport. I hugged my parents and Aditi.
Maa and Aditi had tears in their eyes and so do I.
Dad was not good in displaying emotions but he too had a sad face this time.
I looked around everywhere, hoping to spot Riddhant.I had messaged him in the car earlier but didn't got any reply from him.
I tried calling him twice but his phone was either out of coverage or switched off. I waved my hand to Maa, Dad and Aditi and moved ahead.
I looked around for the last time and with a huge disappointment entered the boarding area.I sat calmly at my seat near the window. My co-passenger didn't arrive till the plane took off.
Why did he do this?
He didn't even call me.I was busy cursing Riddhant that I didn't notice someone poking me.
"If you are done with the cursing part, May I wish my Blossom a very good morning." I heard his voice.
Am I hallucinating?
Is he there for real?I turned my head to see him occupying the seat next to me, smirking at my reaction.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him in disbelief.
"Traveling." He gave me duh uh look.
"Where?" I sounded idiot now.
"Khandala, I'll get down there." Sarcasm was dripping in his voice.
I chuckled at his reply. A small smile appeared on his face.
"So will you tell me now what's all this about?" I asked him.
"Do you remember that day when I came to your house when you were busy dancing."
My cheeks turned red in embarrassment. I can't forget that ever. His voice interrupted my thoughts.
"Aditi told you that I wanted to tell you something about."
He spoke breaking the ice.I nodded my head.
"That day I came to tell you that I had to leave for Mumbai next week and I also wanted to spend some time with you but before I could tell you anything, you told me about your job and an idea of surprising you crept in my mind." He said gleefully.
I recollected my memory about that day.
"How can you think that all of a sudden, your parents allowed you to travel alone to a city like Mumbai and stay there? I convinced them regarding your safe travel and stay." He cocked his eyebrows at me.
Oh! that's the reason Dad wanted me to travel by flight.
"So am I the only one who didn't know that you also would be living in Mumbai from now on?" I questioned him.
"Yeah. Your parents trusted me and your friend 'Nikita' to take care of you while you are in a different city." He finished finally with a smile.
"So where will you stay?" I asked him.
"Why? Do you want me to stay at your place?" He smirked again.
I wanted to wipe that smirk from his face but instead I blushed at his statement.
He grinned sheepishly."Relax! I was kidding, I'll be staying at my apartment where you'll be staying after our marriage which is five minutes walkable distance from your flat." He cleared my confusion emphasising the words 'Our Marriage'.
I gave a slight nod in agreement.
"I won't mind if you want to stay with me because I am so irresistible." He teased.
I slapped his arm playfully and shifted my gaze to the window. He snaked his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer.
He was staring at me while I was blushing due to his touch and our closeness.Being with him in this city would be strange and different.
Ofcourse, good different. We heard the announcement and adjusted ourselves.
Soon the plane landed and we walked out in the city of dreams whilst holding each others hands.
