Chapter 8 - Movie

Demi’s P.O.V

After weeks of boring school, holiday finally arrived.  Niall had also asked me out to a movie. Since the incident from the last time had spoiled it.

Niall is picking me up at 1 pm. I still have a lot of time to get dressed, I read the digital clock says: 11.50. After shower, I straightened my hair, and put on a strapless floral summer dress with a pair of black open toe heels and a golden studded bag.

 I looked at myself in the mirror, did I overdressed or underdressed? Do I look good? What if he doesn’t like what I’m wearing? I started to panic.

Ding, ding, ding, all my thoughts were cut off by a door bell. I rushed to the door, I checked myself once again before opening the door.

I opened the door and saw Niall stood at the door way, when he saw me he took a glance at me then gave me a wide smile and said: “You look beautiful, Demi.”

I felt myself blushed and started to check him out too, he wore blue jeans and a white shirt and a pair of red vans, his blond hair looked bright and shining under the sun light, he’s sparkle sky blue eyes is so hypnotizing. I had to admit that, he looks hot.

“You look beautiful too, NO, NO, NO, I meant nice.” I exclaimed awkwardly.

He chuckled then grinned “Thanks, ready to go?”

“Yep.” I nodded, I felt a rush of excitement enter my body.

We got into his blue car and ten minutes later we’ve arrived at the cinema.

We waited in line to buy movie ticket.

“Hi, how are you today? What do would you like to watch?” the lady at the service desk asked.

“I am good, thank you!” Niall replied politely. “Can I please get two movie tickets “The Giant”?”

 “Sure.” The lady said, then started to enter things onto the computer. “I’m so sorry, but all the movies had being booked, the only movie that is available is “The Haunted Love.”

Niall then gave me a look to question what I think.

“I am fine with anything.” I said smiled.

After Niall bought the movie ticket, we then went to the candy bar to get some popcorn and drinks for the movie.

The movie finally began after 10 minute of advertisement. The story line was pretty interesting to me at the beginning, it looked like a good romance movie. But, it slowly turned out wrong, the scenes are horrifying, dreadful things started to pop out unexpectedly, instead of a romance movie, it turned out to be a horror movie.

When got through a third of the movie, I was already screaming like every other girl who was watching the movie. Niall looked at me concerned: “Demi, you’re right?”

“Yeah, I fine.” I said and faked a smile, I don’t want to ruin it for Niall, and this is actually the first time we are together alone.

“Are you sure?  Tell me when you’re feeling uncomfortable, okay?”

“Okay.” “thanks.” I added.

The movie got scarier and scarier, I felt myself leaning closer to Niall. He wrapped he’s arms around my shoulder and drew circles on my back tried to comfort me. My heart was beating faster not only because of the movie but he’s action. It’s so nice and caring; he made me felt relaxed comfy.  I snapped out of thought when a heard a loud unexpected terrifying scream came from the movie and the voice seem to echo in my head, I lay my head onto Niall’s chest and screamed as loud as I could without a second thought. After I calmed down, when I finally realised what I was doing, I felt myself blushing.  

Niall had his arms wrapped around my shoulder and patted me softly, I sank my head into his chest. He smell like laundry detergent and lemon, I had to admit that he smells nice. He’s chest felt warm and reliable, it felt like if I closed my eyes I could fall to sleep, I felt protected.

What should I react now, I don’t want to do anything stupid. It was a lot more awkward than I could have ever imagined it. I moved my head up slightly tried to study his expression on the corner of my eyes. Then, I felt my lips in contact with he’s cheeks.

Niall looked down at me surprised with confusion in his eyes, our eyes met in the darkness, I froze in place.  I don’t know what to response, my mind are blank. A loud applause ended the deadly silence. I looked away from him and leave his hug. The movie had ended, the lights went on, the crowd start to make their way out to exit.

“Thanks.” I said softly, like a whisper. I’m not sure if he had heard me or not. I stood up, grabbed my hand bag avoiding his gaze. “Let’s go.” I said, act like nothing had happened.

As I was about to make my way out, a hand grabbed mine and pulled me closer. I looked at Niall confused.

“I- I.” he said gazed at me, “I” he said slowly as if trying to decide on something. I watched him as he titled his head like a confused dog, it seemed like he tried to tell me something complicated. “Demi, I was wonder if you want to hang out at the beach house for three days with my friends starting the day after tomorrow.” He asked.

I don’t know why, but I know, I know he is definitely not going to say that, there’s something else that he wanted to say, I know because the way he looked at me. I felt disappointed, why did he give up saying what he wanted to say, I don’t bite.

“Yes, I would love to come.” I ended my thoughts and said.
